They way I see it (and I’m generalizing):
ICE cars are currently the best they’ve been in the history of time
EVs are currently the worst they’ll ever be
I’m just enjoying ICE while we can and will hop into EVs when I have to.
I’m in no rush to adopt.
@alexd0316 ^^^This. Between prepping their own and participating customer cars, the actual event days, and any post event stuff, it may be a bit, unfortunately.
No need to put people down for their purchases. It’s not like he’s saying it’s the objectively “better” car. He just voted with his dollar/euro and purchased an item that represents a better value to him.
Also, there are lots of Toyota and BMW people that will say we don’t have the real version...
I don’t disagree, but I do believe that the parts bin approach has contributed to BMW’s increasing reliability, including the shared-with-SUVs-B58 that we have in the Supra.
There’s a lot not to like about the M2, but the S58, M-brand (despite being diluted), back seats if you require it, etc...
Kind of depends on a combination of how long you plan on keeping your car and how much you care about appearance during that window.
I bought my car used with some chips here and there already. I was quoted 2200 for front PPF. It also stays outside at my apartmentand it’s a daily-ish driver...
@AHP I really appreciate your input - the vehicle inspections (annoying) and taxes (really annoying) are definitely on my mind and one of the things I really value about FL, though we are looking for nature not offered here. I've been asking around others are also saying Charlotte based on the...
Yes, both of those. (Can be seen as EOT and ECT in my original photos.)
There is an ambient light sensor at the top, and there are settings where you can specify min and max brightness levels. FWIW, I have my car’s dash coded for max brightness always. I didn’t touch the default iDash dimming...

Regarding your wing, this ^^^ if you’re worried about looking rice-y.
This can be intentional, and I support it if it’s the look the owner is going after, but it’s not screaming OEM+ to anyone.
OP, you’ll always find someone who claims anything that’s not OE is rice, so be careful weighing...
My wife and I are considering moving from FL to NC for a change. I figured I'd ask around regarding the "enthusiast" scene and get recommendations on what general areas to consider that will support our interests in cars and outdoors activities.
We like driving. I'm fine with the Cars and...
I don’t disagree. The 295 PSS did seem to provide adequate protection for the lip of the wheel, but to me, it still looked stretched.
Increased wheel/tire circumference
Decreased ride quality
Increased chance of damaging wheel on potholes (because you’ll likely be running less sidewall)...
Yes, this is my experience:https://www.supramkv.com/threads/sidewall-comparison-michelin-pilot-super-sport-vs-continental-extremecontact-sport-02.16680/
I’m not saying they are uncomfortably stretched - they just weren’t as square as I anticipated. Another in my thread made the jump to...
