Unless youâre fulfilling your need for speed with your family in the car, then your sporty carâs sporty-ness is wasted when hauling the family.
If youâre not opposed, I recommend a second daily for family duty. Take the Supra whenever youâre not with family.
Iâll share two very applicable quotes from the comments there:
âIf youâre going to say cars are selling for less than MSRP, you need to include a graph that shows how much average MSRP has gone up.â
âItâs like GPUs, itâs just the MSRP that went up.â
We should be looking at inflation adjusted...
If you go flashy, my opinion is to make sure other parts of the car match in terms of flashy/aftermarket-ness.
Darker colors are easier to pull off as OEM-ish if you plan on not doing much else.
And brakes. But yeah, not much. New set of wheels solves the problem, and itâs easy to find 3.0 takeoffs for an OEM+ approach.
I bet spacers, meatier tires, and a drop would also work if one wanted to stick with the 18s.
While Iâd be happy to have one, I do not think a targa will be a thing.
Also, I only enjoyed my convertible (and sunroof currently) at night. Dropping the top was not for more exposure to wind, but for more noise and for the feeling of being more outside. I laugh at those baking in the sun...
Wesley Chapel Toyota is a no go from me.
I scheduled my brake recall fix with them, confirmed when a Supra tech would be in, etc.
When I got there, they made me wait ~1-2 hours (donât remember) and said âwe canât update the car because weâre waiting on the software from BMW.â
Autonation...
2/10 Update: All four tires now included in sale!
Someone make me an offer on my listing, then scoop up @PockyProtector âs tires (https://www.supramkv.com/threads/pilot-super-sport-set.16249/) for a whole OEM setup (would be 255s all around with staggered wheels, FYI).
Itâs local pickup all in...
As a tip or because youâre interested? A lot of people donât even show the barrels clean or not.
Iâm happy to pull them out of storage for a deeper clean, if needed, but for local buyers, theyâll be able to see the condition first hand! I imagine this will be a bigger deal if I have to open up...
Have a Supra with a 5 month old. If the child is going somewhere, we take the family car. Otherwise, I take the Supra whenever I can.
Your concerns about not being able to drive it as much is valid. Iâve shared this with another member, but also consider that no matter the car youâre driving...

^^^ Theyâll teach you how to be a lazy investor and build wealth over time with the least amount of effort.
Just donât tell them youâre into cars.
Maybe youâll have to remove the trim to remove the boot/knob combo, then replace with a separate knob and boot.
Thereâs got to be a BMW that has had the combined knob/boot setup that you can look into and see what people do to replace it.
The same book that recommends 0w-20?
Iâm usually in agreement with your comment in regards to features/functions, but I value discussion around fluids/consumables as use cases vary.
