  1. What did you do to your Supra today?

Wife and I made it to our first track day with the Supra (Homestead with Chin). It really is an amazing platform out of the box and upset a lot of egos. The brakes did fine with RBF600 fluid, but I didn't love the brake feel. Minor gripe. I ended up melting my exhaust flap actuator, but...
  2. Exhaust Valve Rattle + Stuck Closed (Melted Plug)

Updates: The exhaust rattle was from the little spring that connects the actuator to the exhaust flap (see video) The cable protection is melted a bit, but the wires look good (per @sup.dc2) The plug is melted/fused to the actuator. The part that rotates on the actuator is melted to the point...
  3. Exhaust Valve Rattle + Stuck Closed (Melted Plug)

Assuming the actuator side is still good, I’m betting I’d have to replace the whole plug+cable. Anyone have a part number and/or know how far this cable runs into the car?
  4. Exhaust Valve Rattle + Stuck Closed (Melted Plug)

During/after a recent track day, I noticed my exhaust has a bit of a rattle (similar to rattling that others have posted videos of). CG Precision DP + stock catback. I also noticed that even in sport mode, my exhaust is quiet like normal mode. After some investigation, I found that my exhaust...
  5. 45 Anniversary Mikan Blast

Sakhir looks darker and way more metallic and fire isn’t metallic at all to my knowledge.
  6. 45 Anniversary Mikan Blast

Did we ever determine what is the BMW orange this color translates to?
  7. To M2 or not to M2

25 may also have the carbon buckets available again (if you wanted those). FL does not have the nice twisties, but our regular roads are some of the nicest in the southeast IMO. Anywhere I’ve been (in the southeast) that has some nice mountain roads has terrible city roads.
  8. To M2 or not to M2

@Digitalprty Try Turo to get a test drive.
  9. Will the CG Precision DS-1 catted downpipe throw a CEL?

Yes. Flashed back to stock to prep for a track day and the O2 sensor doesn’t love it. Of course, this is relatively expected as it doesn’t come with a “no CEL” guarantee. But I get asked this all the time. So, here’s the definitive answer. Despite getting enough pulls in to get logs and...
  10. Track insurance

Data point: 1 day @ Homestead Miami Speedway Open Track - $339.15 (no cost for additional driver + can add $1m liability for $75) Hagerty - $370.58 (no cost for additional driver) Lockton - $287.65 (not considered for me since I don't see an obvious way to add a second driver) My...
  11. Custom Touchscreen LCD Gauge: Comprehensive CAN Network Access for Enhanced Vehicle Monitoring

Less than $300 USD. https://bankspower.com/products/banks-idash-supergauge-datamonster Not as polished compared to this render, but has the ability to show 8 metrics at once and can be daisy chained.
  12. Banks iDash + Aeroforce Single Gauge Pod

Yeah, like @Thraxbert said, it just plugs into the OBD port. I believe that if you have one of the mentioned vehicles on the Banks website, you may get additional data available for display, but for the Supra, you get all the main things one would want to keep an eye on - no issues.
  13. If it wasnt for the supra, what car to get????

Out of habit, I often move my head way out of the way of the roof line to get into any vehicle now. I probably look ridiculous when it’s not the Supra.
  14. Banks iDash + Aeroforce Single Gauge Pod

I have tested it. It works as expected. The alert takes over the whole screen, so you can’t really miss it if the gauge is in your line of sight.
  15. Replacing Horn with PIAA sports Horn

I'm an idiot. I completely overlooked this when ordering the wire. I'll have to be much more mindful when purchasing wire for outdoor uses, I suppose. I had used taps on a vehicle before but looking back, it was internal. It worked well which is why I didn't think twice about doing it again. I...
  16. Maxton STREET PRO Front Splitter - Install Notes

Happy to help. Came out great! Really nice photo.
  17. Front Bumper/Hood Fitment Gap Issue (after Heat Exchanger Install)

You don’t need to remove the bumper, just loosen bolts and align to your desires. There’s a weather strip (remove) on the top front with (I believe 6 bolts) and two bolts under the weatherstrips on the side (just lift up). Loosen bolts, adjust, tighten bolts, close hood, check for...
  18. Replacing Horn with PIAA sports Horn

Lots of corrosion, I know. It’s copper: GS Power 16 AWG (True American Wire Ga) CCA Copper Clad Aluminum Primary Wire. 25 ft Red & 25 ft Black Bundle. for Car Audio Speaker Amplifier Remote Hook up Trailer Wiring (Also in 14 & 18 Gauge) https://a.co/d/5o9QD7G
  19. Replacing Horn with PIAA sports Horn

UPDATE: My wiring corroded?! My (upgraded) horn stopped working last December, but I haven’t gotten around to troubleshooting it until today. My wiring basically disintegrated. I’m hoping someone with more electrical knowledge than me can tell me what happened and how to avoid it going...
  20. Young Driver Insurance Cost, Crazy Rates.

Depending on how high the limits are and how @Teleguy11 set up his uninsured motorist coverage, it can easily balloon in FL. Not to mention how many providers withdrew from FL after the recent hurricane reducing competition. OP, maybe find some insurance brokers (who deal with multiple...
