It was surprisingly fast. Ordered it last month on the 12th which was a saturday ,and it got to me the next Friday with DHL. Now I'm just trying to find the time to get it installed.
Just got one of these - that's good to know lol. That's one thing I didn't consider with having a fresh air tube. Guess I'll just make sure to keep up with cleaning my intake filter
Ah - so you prefer the sound of silence during your slow, imperfect, organic upshifts. At least as a consolation you can still hear the braaaap of the superior ZF farting off into the distance ahead of you.
Yeah this is basically what I was gonna post.
Stock power was fun especially the quick torque on tap, but after being in some faster cars it wasn't enough on the top end. Now running flex fuel e50 with more of a dd custom tune it's plenty fast for a street car. It's a lot more fun when you get...
I haven't yet but I thought about mixing a lower amount of the bmw ht-12 coolant with one of those or Summit Racing non-glycol coolant. Maybe I'll do that first for the low temp circuit to see if it helps lower IAT at all.
Yeah you're right. Makes sense i guess given the price on the 900. I'm assuming the original 800 is gonna be phased out once they have both 6 and 2 port available for the new version.
Good news! I noticed Pure Turbos now has an ETA of mid- 2025 on the 2 port versions of the pure 900 and new variant of the pure 800 and 650.
That means about two weeks right guys?
In normal mode it's not much different than stock, it's pretty tame with both valves closed. Starting in sport is louder since it seems like you can open at least one valve on cold start which is different than the stock catback. My car has been tuned and catless for a while though (doesn't do...
I’ve been slacking on posting about it, here’s an install pic. Now that it’s been on for a couple thousand miles I’ll take some sound clips too.
I wouldn't go with this one because its basically a fancier box with a k&N filter. It reuses the factory inlet also and the extra air snorkel on top seems dumb because that will just bring in really hot air from the engine bay. If you're going for a carbon intake at that price point the Eventuri...
I got one recently since I got a new intake. The install was fine except for the very bottom bolt, that one was a pain just because it's a tight area.
You can check out the other threads here and Verus's data on their site. It seems to be helpful to have a heatshield even for a non-track build...
Maybe your set with Bimmercode or something else to always start in sport mode.
Does that HKS use the stock valve connection? It should normally work the same way as with the sport button, being closed in normal/comfort and open in sport mode.
Yeah all of those new categories it has surprised me when I looked at it. I had one for passenger rear seatbelt lol. Hopefully your tuner can check things out for the lean issue.
What is showing under the one called DSC ? just curious since I have no Idea what most of those individual ecu...
