No, it just slides on and clamps.
Make sure to keep the downpipe v band loose as well as the body mounts to the downpipe and get the catback mounted and fit first before tightening anything.
If you really want the man/machine connection I would suggest to start getting into 600/1000cc sport bikes - you get the manual shift and you have to balance your weight around the bike...its really an awesome feeling.

If you are keeping the car to be maybe super rare or "worth something" in the future - you should get the manual.
Otherwise get the Automatic.

I have the V2 on my car - its cheap, you can remove the maxton sticker, and it looks almost OEM and fixes the overbite of the car look from the factory.
I doubt it will help you with front end grip while you are drifting around the whole foods parking lot :)
