I don't see one single reason that you couldn't just cut the manifold off the oem turbo and weld an extension and vband to top mount it.
Then, make a custom downpipe, chargepipe, and lines as well. Maybe extend the harness for the wastegate actuator also.
Then when you're ready, all you have...
I’ve got an extra set of bnib Spage fender vents that I don’t need if someone wants to buy them. Ended up buying an entire second Spage hood instead.
They are by far the nicest design on the market imo. Lead time is usually ages if you can even order them.
I would call or email Fernando at Ostar and he’ll set you up. Those guys are experienced with the platform and dealing with them in the past was great.
I’ve got a bnib CSF 4-piece cooling setup for sale if you need it btw. Would sell it for less than you’ll find anywhere else. Decided to run...
it will make a huge difference. Raise the rear at least .75” and front 0.5”. You can leave the front a bit lower, particularly if you have LCA with spacers to correct the roll center… but not the rear.
Sounds like you’re too low. Lots of people have posted stock height measurements. Ground to fender I measured 27.75 with oem wheels and tires (32psi) in the rear.
Try new tires and make sure your rear ride heigh is stock.
If you drop the rear height you'll mess up the geometry and the rear end will be really unpredictable, especially without any adjustable arms to (kind of) fix things. You can't really drop the rear ride height much unless you run the...
Looking purely at spring rates and ignoring everything else, I’d say they are too low compared to what everybody has found to be successful for time attack.
I’ve had similar problems before and there were several issues that seemed to contribute:
- damaged rear dampers (caused by impact with...
The OSG for the Supra has been available for a while from a few different shops (anybody who builds BMW diffs can make you one), I might try one in our 2.0 Supra since OSG uses stock axles which is nice.
I think the Drexler is probably a bit better but requires new axles to be compatible. I’ve...
Yeah, the assembly is different, along with the axels and driveshaft but I think the actual diff (gears) are the same. At least that's what one of the shops that builds BMW diffs told me.
iirc 75w140 is the standard bmw m-car diff fluid weight.
our car uses the same m-performance diff, so we're essentially just switching to the "track spec" fluid that is recommended by bmw.
I'm sure the 75w90 works okay as well.
it's kinda like arguing 5w30 vs 5w40... they both work well as...
Diff: Motul Gear Competition 75w-140 (or any other GL-5 75w-140)
Trans: Amsoil Sigatute (blue version), although ZF, Redline, and Ravenol are probably all good
Since I didn’t see a budget from the OP, I’ll make two recommendations for fun weekend cars:
992 GT3
992 TTS
Pick one :)
The TTS is a better daily than the Supra as well. More comfortable, better visibility, better tech and amenities, faster, better handling, less attention (depending on...
