What’s your point?
it’s like pointing out how much money and effort it is to take weight out of the 3.0…
all that (seats, battery, exhaust, downpipe, interior, carbon hood, forged wheels, brakes, etc) and still heavier than a stock 2.0.
I’ve been running Verus motor mounts (80A/medium inserts) all season and they feel great. They definitely stop the motor from lugging all over the place. No noticeable NVH increase, although my car was already about as loud and stiff as it can get - 4” straight pipe, spl catalogue, sway bars...
I mean, I’ve been competing in time attack with a 600whp 3.0 all year, so it’s not like I haven’t driven one…
it takes a lot of work to set up a 3.0 to feel as good as a bone stock 2.0 around town.
There’s just no way that a 3.0 can achieve the balance the 2.0 has. 2.0 is literally mid engine.

My understanding is they are developing an intake manifold for the B46/B48 which is currently being tested.
I plan on using their manifold when it's available. On the fence between adding PI or just upgrading the injectors. The DI upgrade is simple...
Stock vs stock, the 2.0 handles significantly better than the 3.0. Makes me almost wonder if the 2.0 with a built motor and big turbo is actually the faster car.
Okay, I'll play too -
I get that, but we are not talking about other cars here. B58's max out their DI, and their pumps. If you're pushing that much power, you need to expect some pain in the ass. I still don't see a real argument on why upgraded DI is such a bad thing. It's safe and delivers...
If your only argument is "everybody knows it's the solution," it does not make sense.
Do you have some actual logic or data to back that up? Plenty of cars faster than Supras run just direct injection or just port injection.
for anybody actually looking for useful information from this thread, the price sheet above doesn’t include quick disconnects, piston upgrades, shafts upgrades, low friction coating, and other available options
it’s not hard to spec a $10k set of JRZ RS pros, although $7-8k is more typical
My point was just that they're not that great out of the box and dealing with JRZ has been a pain. I can't find anybody that likes them more than me either.
Nitrons have lukewarm feedback and only come in 1- and 3-way.
MCS seem to be universally liked.
Rich at DAS has a new AST spec that...
They're not junk, they just need some customization. The spring rates are fine, the dampers are the issue.
I don't know what you mean by "race shop" but the only faster street-tire A90 time attack driver/shop has helped me spec them and supports the build. And the actual shop that ordered them...
FWIW my JRZ RS Pros haven't ever really felt good. I'm going to have them revalved and customized in the offseason if I decide to keep them...
They're really crashy over bump and curbs (unless they're set way too soft) and each click of adjustment is too large. It's very difficult to ever get...
If it’s under warranty, take it to the dealer. Stuff like this is a headache to figure out.
I had similar issues and they were due to the battery voltage dropping too low while sitting on the dealer lot, causing the car to go back into transport mode (allegedly).
The dealer couldn’t really...
