I'm running PS4S right now on stock wheels and they are great, but I'll probably go with the Conti ECS on new wheels for similar reasons. I'd count on the Conti's not holding quite as well at the limit possibly (but still similar)... but with a 340 rating (vs 300), I'd also expect them to last...
I did my two free at the dealership as well... but that was pre-pandemic, so no problems with them getting the oil. If nothing else, you could probably find the kit at a different dealership and order it to make sure... but then it's not a free oil change. :(
@AyeBird has it right... just skip the Toyota dealership and go independent BMW if you've got a reputable shop nearby. When I first took mine in, the service writer was skeptical... so I told him to enter it as a '20 Z4 M40i "hard-top coupe".
He still looked skeptical when we walked out to it...
Well, I'm sure it adds some downforce... though probably not enough to really matter. Originally I thought it was adjustable, but it appears not. Although you could have different side braces machined I suppose to add more rake to the wing.
I totally agree on never paying ADM on principal (and drove 25 miles away from closest dealer to get my MKV for that reason). However, I certainly haven't seen "the bubble for used cars coming down" here at all. In almost every case, whether car, truck, or SUV - it's still cheaper to reserve a...
I'm sure there are a vast array of reasons possible... but the most obvious would be a difference in production shutdowns, shortages, etc. Although every brand is effectively a global brand at this point, the specific supply chains are different and some were more affected than others in 2021...
Not sacrilege, just preference. I'm the same (but inverse). The power and handling of the MKV make it too far into "go directly to jail" territory to drive at the limit on streets - but a compact with less power and a manual can feel more "full blast" at well under 100 mph. Plus, if I'm gonna...
But the real question is... "do I still have to send my ECU to Russia to get it unlocked" :p
Agreed that's definitely the best looking by far... considering it's almost as much as a second car (depending on options) - it should look premium. Those welds are definitely drool-worthy.
Will hit 40K later today if I stop by the store or something on my way home from the office... otherwise tomorrow. I'm not surprised at seeing 100K on a few without any/many claimed problems... but tuned to enough to break axles and still hitting that is pretty sweet.
Seems typical of BMW...
Just get one of these for plastic, wood, or non-ferrous metal things. Apparently they're for hair clogs or something... I've just always used them for the stuff that falls off the back of my workbench or when I drop something small behind a network rack (which is daily in my case). :rolleyes...
Don't know where it is, but you could go to wherever those "stance nation" guys go get their stupid rubberband setups mounted... half the time that shit doesn't even reach the lip.
But yeah, it would be pretty stretched (not rubberband, but still plenty). Stock has a tiny bit of a...
This market is just insane... I must have done something wrong with my investments during the pandemic... because I'd need about $20 million in disposable income before something like this would make any kind of sense! However, if no one ever fell for this shit... they wouldn't be able to do...
Indeed. Sure they're great for ripping down the street (or strip) and perfectly fine on a grocery run or work commute... but I don't often hear/see anyone talk track times. ;)
I love the EV conversions - and they'd be a win-win scenario if someone could provide a mass production model for doing them. Then the waste of moving from ICE to EV would only be drive-train components (most of which could have other uses).
At the very least it would eliminate a decent amount...
That between the reduction in domestic production throughout the EU and NA areas due to climate initiatives, the even larger reduction in availability (and related costs) of sanctioning Putin and removing those imports - that there will be fairly widespread shortages of not only gasoline and...
To be fair, the private sector also tends to be blind to the lasting effects of their actions as well as considering shareholder profits above all. Ultimately the problem is that while environmental, manufacturing, energy, and even social issues are global by both scope and impact - government...
Yes, as someone who works in the private sector (as a contractor for a public agency) - I can say that I trust them completely to know what's best. They're all multi-disciplinary geniuses... and definitely not just warming seats until their pension is ready. ;)
When doing interviews, someone...
So just driving an EV? It is almost exactly like playing a video game. ;)
Not sure what research you've done, but I seriously doubt it factored in the coincidentally legislated reduction in legacy production if that was the conclusion. If we didn't worry about reducing the amount of...
I've had it since the beginning... but since it was always sporadic, I didn't bother because I knew it would never do it on a dealership test drive. Good to know there's an update... guess I'll get the recall and that done in one go and hope they don't blow up my ECU.
In reality, I just...
