Agreed. Unless the only ones you can find are already asking a firm 30%+ appreciation over MSRP for having it in hand... in which case, not so much.
I heard a rumor too... that there was going to be a 2023 Supra of some sort eventually... we'll see if that actually happens in a few months I guess. ;) (With the supply chain problems getting worse every time I turn around... I'm not taking anything as a guarantee any more).
LOL I've been looking at hoods and just read too much into your post. Wing wouldn't be an issue IMO - and in that case you could add the side skirts and front lip down the road if you wanted to balance it out more. It would be just the "right amount" of CF I think.
I think it might be too much... but that's what vinyl is for (or just phone it in and photoshop it till you like it and then make it permanent) - the right bit of exposed CF is likely to look better integrated vs. nothing else but the hood being CF. IMO
Alternately you could just replace the...
I used both my free changes done within the first 10K miles... break-in change was a late by my standards, but way early by BMW/Toyota guidance (I think it was at ~2500 miles). Everything after that was done at my local BMW shop, because Toyota sucks. ;)
The dealership initially balked, but I...
2mm difference in each case (so almost nothing) since he's dropped and you'll be running stock I'd think you'd be fine. At the very worst case, the wheels will be just fine as many, many people run that setup - you might just have to "sacrifice" and go with slightly narrower tires. You could...
Maybe just put some window tint on your cluster? I don't think there is a separate setting for just the cluster, but it might be hidden deeper than I've explored in BimmerCode - just nav console, and then everything else (combined) in the "normal" settings.
Average since the last reset (over a year ago) shows 27.6mpg - tons of freeway driving, usually at speeds which shouldn't be publicly admitted.
Recently switched to a 265/285 PS4S setup... started losing a bit now so probably heading into the 26's soon.
Right there with ya. I'm way more interested in that and will be putting money down as well. That is the car I want with a manual... the Supra is just fine without it (OK not "just fine" it's better actually).
I think you should be fine with that setup at stock height... might rub during full compression so I'd limit your Hazard County jumps. ;) As @Axix23 said, you'd have to measure to be sure... you'll have just under 1" more diameter, but only the 'top' half of that matters.
Since the wheels are...
Not to mention that chips and boards will become more scarce (in the short term at least) than they already were since Ukraine was a major refiner/exporter of neon gas to the US. Naturally, we don't make most of the chips here (sigh) but that will put a pinch on all fabs worldwide since the...
It's one of those weird economies with me... I could maybe justify spending ~$1500 (or even a bit more) if it was the M3 wheel with the shifters included. Otherwise I'd be afraid it would feel like putting $30K countertops in a 40-year old kitchen while leaving the cabinets and floors untouched. ;)
You're definitely not the only one. I thought I had prepared for something ridiculous (~$350) before I clicked the link... mmyeah nope. Looks sweet though.
With the war related shutdowns, shortages, etc. and the current macroeconomic trends in place - a better question might be will there be a 2023 Supra (manual or otherwise)? I guess the second question would be how much MSRP will increase to keep pace with inflation... $80K anyone?
As someone...
Maybe... although the only part I find appealing about that wing is the car it's attached to - if it weren't functional (and factory equipped) I'd want to remove that too.
Even if the M buttons were just programmed to duplicate the sport button itself that would be fantastic... they could even both be programmed the same and I wouldn't care. Trying to push that thing without looking is a bitch, how hard would it have been to mold something tactile into it? First...
I've never heard of it on one-piece wheels... but it's what it sounds like - putting new barrels on the old hubs (spokes? center-pieces?). On two/three piece wheels it's a "simple" matter of ~200 bolts with thread-locker being unscrewed and then re-screwed. Not sure how confident I'd be doing...
I have some confirmation (although not conclusive since there's noise and a small sample set obviously) that my tint was a factor. Had to get my windshield replaced and haven't yet had the windshield re-tinted... and my door now opens from about 50 feet away again. I'm sure it depends on which...
