"It's nice to have choices."
Indeed.
Porsche is great. It's crazy that you can actually double the MSRP with the amount of packages and options they offer. You have to exercise a lot of restrain.
I was never a Corvette fan to begin with. However, I do think they're fantastic performance...
Well, considering they're all hovering around $100K in the CPO/used market, those who purchased any of them new for under that should be very lucky.
Not that they're worth that, but it appears that the market has driven (pun intended) the prices up drastically from the "from under $60k" that...
I think it sounds better from the outside than the inside, especially with the ASD off.
But it could use a bit of throaty volume to distinguish it's sports car nature from other B58 BMWs.
If there was a true, completely CEL-free catted DP, I'd just do that. But even the "no CEL guarantee" DPs...
I actually like the fender emblems/sticker/badges. I'm just not a fan of the make badge, usually on one side of the rear in standard chrome. I usually de-badge those and leave the center logo.
I wish they made a specific Supra logo like the Corvette and the Nissan Z cars which have their own...
Resuscitating this oldie...
I wished someone made clear/smoke reflectors (side markers) for the front like they do for most BMW models, past and present, for like $30-60 for the pair. A different and cheaper alternative to the painted options.
I had them on my BRZ and loved the look.
Performance wise, the Supra is the orange in this apples-to-apples-to-oranges scenario.
Either way, as a Supra owner, I'm just flattered that they're comparing it to the C8 and 911 S.
I bought my '20 new for under $50k. The 911 S is easily $100k new and the C8 is much closer to that 6-figure...
I'm still curious about the BMS intake and heat soak.
However, I did stumble upon this from bmwtuning.co, but I'm still not convinced since no one else has commented for nor against their claim. :dunno:
"Ultimately, because the intake isn’t re-routed, you’re not going to see a huge decrease in...
Most people appear to be doing the muffler on the driver side and the straight pipe on the passenger/valved side.
The catbacks from aFe and Borla have a similar design at the back end, but are only a single pipe from the DP unlike the split/dual in the Magnaflow.
Although the Magnaflow has...
Yup, F62. The wires can be zip tied and tucked in along the back edge of the carpeting. I used a trim removal tool to poke the wires and hide them throughout the installation.
Sorry for the late reply.
Been helping my mom with a house purchase and moving, so I haven't had the chance to look as I don't remember which fuse I tapped into.
I'll have to get back under there to remove that panel and see...
Agreed. I actually had it on during my first drive home from picking it up in OK. On long highway road trip, it was rather helpful.
But I did prefer the radar cruise control even more as quite a few people speed up and slow down for no reason.
I'd give up the lane assist for 360 camera...
It's a nice feature to have in a perfect world. However, in areas of construction (ie most roads), the system's sensors and cameras are constantly "tramlining" over old, new and temporary road markings which makes it inherently more dangerous than not having the system on at all.
Ah, ok. Yeah, I think we're missing the entire wiring for it in the US. I installed the OPT7 Aura bluetooth kit from Amazon. Works great.
Used the OEM light fixture holes as pass-through for the wires and installed the remaining two strips under the rear metal brace bar.
I have it set to...
I think APR over at the VW/Audi group has offered something similar like a stage 1 tune with a warranty since 2017.
I'm definitely familiar with APR (even had their stage 2 on my '12 GTI) but never heard of Carbahn. Anyone have any experience with them?
