I'm thinking about doing some foot well lighting. I saw that I already have some already installed by Toyota. The problem is the control. They turn on and off by the door. Is there a possible way to control them by the lock and unlock status of the car?

I kinda like the lights. They are not really bright, but they are so well integrated, and I like that.

I dont have a link. They are preinstalled by Toyota. I havent bought or installed them.

If needed I make a photo of the lights.

Any part numbers?

I think those are pre-wired and installed on non-US cars only.

Ah, ok. Yeah, I think we're missing the entire wiring for it in the US. I installed the OPT7 Aura bluetooth kit from Amazon. Works great.

Used the OEM light fixture holes as pass-through for the wires and installed the remaining two strips under the rear metal brace bar.

I have it set to a low/dim orange setting (like the rest of the interior lights) and it's always on once the door is opened and turns off 6 minutes after exiting.

Looks great! Can you tell me how exactly you connected it. Where did you get the electricity? What Supra cable did you tap, to connect your kit?

I'm pretty new to that kind of things... Would appreciate some help on that.

Sorry for the late reply.

Been helping my mom with a house purchase and moving, so I haven't had the chance to look as I don't remember which fuse I tapped into.

I'll have to get back under there to remove that panel and see...

I used F46 for power and F62 for the door assist (white light when you get in)

Yup, F62. The wires can be zip tied and tucked in along the back edge of the carpeting. I used a trim removal tool to poke the wires and hide them throughout the installation.

Hey guys I know this is an old thread but Iā€™m stuck. I installed the OPT7 Pro kit and used fuse 46 for power and 62 for door assist however it just stays on door assist forever? Has anyone else had this issue?

Most of the accessories in the car turn off 6 minutes after the last door is closed.

Thatā€™s not the issue, I need an input for the Door assist the fuse 62 doesnā€™t give a good signal, just constant power so the lights never go from, white to color

Ah. Yeah, I wanted to wire it that way but couldn't figure it out so I just leave it on at a moderately dim orange to match the rest of the lighting.
