Isn't that lower than even the bad us stock oil? I think us has 0w30, which is water thin. A lot of us swapped to 5w30. I wonder if it may be the oil. First one I've seen using that weight.
Dang. I'm no mechanic, but I would go with heat expansion/contraction on that video. BUT, reading the comments, he said it went away after a couple oil changes.
What oil are you running, in case it could be something to do with oil weight? Actually a couple ppl responded with the same "fix."...
This guy gets it. I mean I was only high on duh weeds, but ya. It's so easy you can do it on a psychedelic trip!
Just need a jack or even the stock jack with some backup so the car doesn't fall on ya.
Or get a shop to do it, but it's 15m of work for them. 30 for you. Ping us if you have...
Without hearing the vid, this is what came to mind. Hot cold hot cold, that's it.
Edit:
Listened to vid. Check your fans maybe. Radiator fan hitting something maybe? Just a guess.
2 things...1. they (Costco) can ship if you buy online
2. I want to say there is either a trick where you can buy online without a membership, or you can without one.
So if it's cheap you can look into buying without a membership.
Or just wait for spring sales and keep an eye on quick jacks
Also, I got mine for 1405 out the door. It was 200+ off at home Depot. That's why I made the leap...got the 2016 prices while on sale in 2023. I got that throwback pre inflation deal, haha.
I've had mine a week. Setup wasn't too bad. Just take it slow to make sure you do it right.
Maintenance? It says to inspect the lifts before each use. That's most or all maintenance. Visual inspection before use.
Lifted the Supra up faster and easier than I expected. I'm loving it. It makes me...
I had to buy low profile blocks for mine. It was close, but I did need them.
All is well, loving the Quickjacks after changing the oil with it.
Does anyone use it at the second locking point? I only went with the first, and was curious if it's sketchy on the 2nd lock point.
Thanks all for the...
I disliked magnaflow when I had an 86. For the Supra? It was my favorite. Ive had two exhausts so far. 1 did not use the actuator and sucked all around.
Magnaflow fit perfectly on first try, less to put together, better connectors and best of all they offer two pipe sizes for the downpipe...
Thank you, everyone for the great/helpful comments. Exactly what I (And I'm sure a couple others) were looking for. Also apologize if there were 20 Quickjacks posts. I'll be honest I didn't search this time (I usually do).
I will use Teflon tape as long as it doesn't say not to. I've always got spare teflon since my HVAC days.
Ah, it shows that it comes with a device to raise and lower it, but I do have a compressor if it's needed. That was actually why I did come here, just to make sure I don't need a...
Gonna see how it fits under my car first, then I'm thinking I'll get them for sure if I can. First video, guy complained about how heavy they are, haha.
Nice! I think I have two of the round ones that go on a jack's lift arm/pad. I also have 2 for my jackstands that attach so I think I am good on these at least.
I need to look into the low profile pads in case I need them.
Thanks everyone for the answers! I made the leap and just bought one...
I am looking at getting a Quickjack. Jack Stands are scary on this car, especially with the lift points and adapters.
Is there anything I should be grabbing in addition to the Quickjack, like are there any accessories I'll need for the Supra? Someone mentioned you can lift it using the lift...
