  1. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

@above that seems like a realistic timeline. Anyone know of some big car shows coming up at the end of this year? "We think" "Might be of interest" Either the Toyota public communications department has a serious hearing problem, or they're legit about it. I really hope. What I also would like...
  2. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

Lol the song No No No by thefatrat Tada-san is playing with us IMO. He's letting the public brew up rumors, then spoiling them one by one. Geneva? Gives us a racing concept. NY? Nothing! Manual tranny? "Ehh, the market isn't big enough." I feel like the PR people are going to bang their heads...
  3. Interviews with Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada

*cough cough* '11 Honda Odyssey EX *cough cough*
  4. Spied: Toyota benchmarking Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997) for new Supra?

??? That doesn't look like a Cayman, the headlights are different... Though it looks like an early 2010s-era 911 Turbo, not a previous-gen GT3 RS. Funny. Or maybe I just suck at Porsche history.
  5. Toyota Supra Interior Looking More Production in Latest Sighting

Nooo, an iDrive Tiptronic shift lever! THE MANUAL IS DEAD PEOPLE Or wait, they wouldn't put it on the test mule becuz people could easily hear and see it, and the surprise would be ruined...
  6. Interviews with Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada

@above That seems about right. Manual transmission would be awesome, but we have to look at the practicality and selling points of it. The Supra was meant as a GT-ish car, and many were sold with an automatic. That said, I'm pretty sure there will be a manual transmission. It's a sports car...
  7. How would you build your Supra?

*read op for that and more*
  8. How would you build your Supra?

Ohh yeah lol! I am so disappointed with toyota rn. It's like they have something to hide. Where's the production Supra? And to think I stayed up half the night for it... Cheerful side tho, they will have to sell at least a few GR editions for homologation.
  9. New Toyota Supra will reportedly launch at Geneva Motor Show (per Auto Express)

Oh the Toyota Aygo. And one more question: is the Toyota Crown closer to the Camry or the Avalon? Timer says 7h 48m....
  10. New Toyota Supra will reportedly launch at Geneva Motor Show (per Auto Express)

Ohh, thanks! To me it looks like a slightly bigger Yaris hatch. Or does Europe have a Yaris too?
  11. New Toyota Supra will reportedly launch at Geneva Motor Show (per Auto Express)

Toyota Auris? Sorry, I'm in USA, what does that translate to?
  12. New Toyota Supra will reportedly launch at Geneva Motor Show (per Auto Express)

  13. New Toyota Supra will reportedly launch at Geneva Motor Show (per Auto Express)

I would open the livestream 1:30 AM Tuesday morning Better get some sleep down tonight lol
  14. How would you build your Supra?

I can share your feeling. I think, though, that you can go buy a Tremec T-56, take the shift boot off an old Celica, and install it in there for about $3k. It is front-engine RWD, so not much modding involved. That's your best bet if you want a manual tranny. It's been done before, though...
  15. New Toyota Supra will reportedly launch at Geneva Motor Show (per Auto Express)

1 day and 4 hrs? For me it reads 1 day and 21hrs, and we're at pretty much the same longitude...
  16. How would you build your Supra?

*Case in point Also, a Porsche with as much horsepower as an LC would be a 911 GT3. And those aren't really GT. This is getting way off topic lol. Anyone know when they'll show full performance data and release-spec interior and exterior photos?
  17. How would you build your Supra?

I feel that way, but why not a low-displacement V10? Mini LFA! And also, the DB11 is a V12, and the Jaguar F-type R is a supercharged eight.
