There isn't much chance for an NA version, I'm afraid. As previously mentioned, it can't make decent power, be easily tuneable (turbos can just crank out moar boost), and meet strict European regulations. I'm calling single-turbo I-4 running in the high 200 horsepower.
I originally thought...
I'm fine with a DCT. If there's no manual, that's fine. The world will keep turning. You can still swap an MG9 TR6060 in with an old Celica shift boot.
But if there's a standard auto, and no DCT or manual at that price, I'm done with Toyota.
Are you talking about an '06 stick F-450 with race tires and coilovers?
*rolling on the floor dying*
But that's not the point. Back to the topic of the Supra, I don't think the Supra will touch these cars, but it sounds like an amazing machine in its own right.
Really good points. FR setup for optimal sports car handling, cream-smooth BMW turbo I-6, M-sport weight savings, and twin-clutch Getrag. This new Supra will likely have all that, and as well as being designed by the same company that built the LFA...
They've gotta bring it to the US. That's...
I think I've seen a few manuals on GT-Rs, probably some clutchless drag-special swap.
I kinda want a DCT option too. It's more calm and easy to use, and Toyota will obviously add one for these people

And GT-R is about 3 times as much as most think the Supra will...
Especially this forum.
I feel like they have a manual option, but they're not showing it just to build suspense. Akio Toyoda's a smart guy, and he knows that if they screw their best GT, and a continuation of the legendary Supra, by not offering a manual (even the MkIV had a gated box), then...
Also, a V6 1LE, and a T4 1LE.
I like the idea of a turbo four 1LE, because the block can be easily tuned, cryo treated, run more boost, etc. Plus, a handling package. I like it.

BTW have you noticed something about halo cars? The GT500 name has been restarted (think '05-'14 Shelby), the GT3 RS from the 997.2 generation, the GT-R, the Corvette ZR1 Performance/ZTK (maybe)...
Gotta disagree. Tada-san confirmed the inline-6, the MkIV style looks likely from the renderings (at least in my eyes), a twin-turbo is definitely going to happen (as a higher-end engine choice), 400hp seems easy from the engine layout, and I already proved we'll have a manual in a previous post...
They said they were gonna do a TT I6 and an FR setup...
Throw in a manual gearbox and I'll be happy. That's all I want. Power? No problem. Look-at-me styling? Put a bodykit on it or something. Handling? Toyota's already benchmarking it against a damn Porsche 997 GT3 RS. But getting a non-OEM...
Turbo flat-4, basically a diminutive version of the WRX engine...
I think the only ones complaining are those like 40+ years old who want a small sports car and then notice it doesn't have the power of "their type" of sports car.
Anyone who realises the full potential of this engine and chassis...
Tada-san is just hiding this fact away till the final reveal, hoping to surprise us fans.
Herewith, proof that we'll have a manual anyway.
The main market for the Supra is as a GT car, then as a tuner car. Tada-san said it himself: he looked to the masses and saw those two groups of buyers. So...
Then again, that is kinda expected...
The last Supra, the RX-7, the Skyline, and a whole parking lot of different Kei cars lasted longer in Japan than in the US, so it makes sense that they would know a little more about this than us.
