eek
You are 100% correct Phil ( serves me right to post whilst on the booze adn its been a while since i broke in an engine......my current supra had 3000 kays on it). I scrambled back to my notes from 2017 i was given........ ( last built engine was done by mostech in Brisbane - sent the car up...
Have to vent. It is SO ANNOYING how much soap suds collect in the channel above the rear tail lights and on the edges of the hatch/boot.
My only gripe
with detailing the car.
I was always told by a race engine builder you can rev it to any rpm once its warmed up when breaking in but try to avoid too much load for the first 1000kms for a street car.
*This is incorrect, see below
haha.....Poor bloke, the oil will be fine. Same with the 5w40. If you are tracking the Supra though, the motul 300v is better but not for a daily with longer change intervals. 15,000kms is too much. 10k minimum, 5k if you can afford it. The range you suggested is excellent for a daily. The 300v...
For not much more than the price you posted I got two custom tunes also. I also get tweaks done after some feedback FOC so...... I guess i was looked after. Fortunately for me, I don't play around with the app much as its pretty much set and forget. I just do the usual change the tune on the fly...
Get your engine sent to Mostech Race engines. (they have built the supercar v8 engines for DJR in the past - maybe even still)
I'm from sydney but shipped my stuff up there for my last build. You will be in a line though so prepare to have a car with no heart for a while. ( unless you buy a...
The shop I went to in Sydney were happy to cover all $ if the ECU was lost......Advan performance is run by a bit of a legend in racing circles. He is one cool dude.
The stock pistons are mahle. This video is pretty informative. IF you are rebuild/forging without changing compression, I wouldn't use anyone else for pistons based off that. The cad design would be peak.

I used to run mahle coated...
Further to this thread......what weak points did you notice on the car that you would have changed out straight away?
For me, its charge pipe, heat exchanger, inlet/intercooler plenum, engine mounts.
anyone running the TTE6xx on here? I have used them in the past as their workmanship and R D has been proven in race cars so until the other mobs can show me links.............better the devil you know..... ....curious on where the spool up to full boost (20-24psi) happy place is?
TC Set for those people who buy these cars and then replace the tyres with potato's.
This is awesome news. Are those tables always on in regards to the steering angle ?
My last car had a syvecs ecu that forced me to read 500 pages and still not understand it all  I played around with boost by gear and it was marvelous!
Does leaving the waste open reduce heat too? It seems to make logical sense in my mind and my main issue is the ECU retarding power but I...
I am so glad i came into this car late.....with most of the development done!
My last car I was pushing boundaries, and it nearly cost me a marriage with the outlay of cash haha.

i hope your pump doesnt fail matey..........because if it...
Well i for one try not to put in shithouse fuel. If they had ELF 104 at the bowser then my car would drink it.
In regards to this new 600 Pure turbo:
Our 98 RON is equivalent to your 93........... I am hoping this turbo can achieve 430-440 Wheel HP without pushing the turbo too hard whilst...
Thanks, that has answered by questions. It's all top end. I think I will go for a minor built hybrid. Put on potato tyres and even with traction on with a mild stage 2 custom, it lights up like a christmas tree! ( stock tyres sucked)
How would you say it's changed the driveability? Are you on pump fuel? How much boost is the 800 at peak and approx what rpm does it reach peak?
There is ECT advantages to running slightly larger turbos which is beneficial for lots of laps!
