Honestly if I had to do it again I’d just bring it to a shop and let them deal with it. I always do my own mods, but this one was just super frustrating, easily the worst install so far on this car. A smaller manifold wouldn’t have had as many problems, it took nearly 2 hours just to get this...
The manifold sits up too high on the right side so you have to cut the cover. I decided to switch to a carbon cover at the same time so I could do it all at once, unfortunately Eventuri’s “3 week” lead time has tuned into “3 months” so it still isn’t here yet, hopefully I’ll have it in another...
I’ve had mine for about 2 years and used it probably 20 times, so far the only maintenance I’ve had to do is re-tighten the plastic bulkhead fittings for the electrical cables on the power unit because they worked themselves loose.
On RPM - This is a transmission tune, it can’t raise your redline, the “max RPM” is just where the trans will shift when at WOT. 8k is just the max you can set it to, you can drop it to whatever you want.
On start/stop - that’s a toggle to turn it on or off, you don’t have to use it.
If you...
While the downpipe is the same, there can be fitment differences on 2020 vs 2021+ due to interference between the O2 sensor and the 6-port exhaust manifold. 2021 and 2022-3 should be identical though.
Tracking, spirited driving, whatever. The stock manifold heat soaks so fast it’s not even funny. A single 3rd-4th gear pull is enough to push the IATs nearly 50F above ambient with the stock manifold on my car (stock turbo, E50). That equates to an ~8% power loss all things being equal...
Which manifold did you install? Any tips you found? I’ll be installing the EOS next weekend most likely, and I found their instructions severely lacking. AMS’s instructions are pretty decent, and Kies has a really nice install video for the CSF. I suspect between them I can figure it all...
That has nothing to do with BMW, that's just how standard lead acid batteries work.

I have the HKS super turbo with an AA catted downpipe. There’s a little bit of drone right at 2k RPM in Sport, zero drone below 1.9k or above 2.1k, and zero drone at all in normal mode. So 99% of the time there’s none, but if you happen to be cruising right at ~80mph there’s a bit, in which...
Not at 500whp, no. Downpipe, E50, and a tune is all it takes (or meth instead of the E50). Above 500whp on E50 and you’ll start to run into fueling restrictions.
Yeah the stock holder looks terrible. Even though Colorado requires front plates, luckily my dealership just threw the stock holder in the trunk and didn’t drill anything.
