Well Toyota designed the car to have a slight rake. I think it might be good to start with the front being slightly lower than the rear and you can always adjust it. I personally like the look of a car with a small rake to it but all of us are different.
I think this is great news for people who really want a manual. Should give Toyota a nice boost in sales too, A70TTR my suspicion is that because of Covid and supply constraints Toyota may keep the Supra around an extra year or two (2026 was supposed to be the last model year). Do you think...
Do some auto x and track events with an instructor and learn how to manage the car properly in a proper environment. Also leave the nannies on until you understand the cars limits
It depends what your goals are and gear. Some speakers you can drop in and replace OEM and then add a amp/sub combo along with the factory amp.
Some speakers will require more power or have different OHM rating and require you to replace the factory amp.
If you want to go the DSP route it’s...
You may have to get the car reflashed and then get it tuned? I don't know if I would even drive a car without knowing how it's tuned and being able to datalog.
I did the Z4 Eibach springs they are perfect, not too low and it the Ride is not much stiffer.
I don’t have mud flaps but I have ZL1 rock guards and no issue with lowering springs.
You definitely want an alignment, I usually wait a week or so for the springs to settle.
Look into the Eibach Z4 springs. They have a very marginal drop (.8" front and rear) so you get some drop to reduce wheel gap (it is less than two fingers), roll is reduced, but you don't sacrifice the OEM suspension feel in sport/comfort (meaning you don't have too stiff a ride in either...
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but people seem to overlook the cost difference. When I was shopping most new M2 CS's were a good $30K more than the Supra and even more than a pretty well loaded C8 Corvette. Didn't make any sense to me from a price standpoint and really not a good...
Maybe they bricked one and said "not again on my watch"...
OP, ask around on the forums or some of the Facebook groups for a good dealer near you. I saw some good Facebook posts where owners were sharing dealer experiences and which dealers knew what they are doing with the Supra and which...
Honestly, you want to take the car to a dealer who has experience working on them. It's worth an hour or two drive versus having some amateur brick your ECU (this has happened to a number of people at incompetent Toyota dealers). Bricking the ECU is not trivial and some people have had to wait...
Eibach Z4 lowering springs, Whitleline adjustable front end links, Whitleline adjustable swaybar, SPL rear adjustable endlinks, and an alignment. I may add some more SPL parts here and there but I like how the car handles right now. I want a balance between comfort on bad roads and sports...
Or maybe they were working with Femto/Russia and that was related to their evidence of having hacked the CPU and then they got scared by the cost and effort to ship ECU's to Russia and back.
Total conspiracy on my part but if they had found a way to tune the car without the Russia angle none of...
Zero regrets. The irony is I had a 21 C8 on order and my allocation was supposed to be in April then it was May of this year and then GM cut allocations and my dealer told my I would be their first allocation on a 2022 MY car and to expect delivery between Nov/Dec. At that point I some crazy...
I had an investment opportunity come up and sold the C7 for more than I paid (I bought it used for 30% off MSRP when the car only had 1400 miles on it). I liked the car but I just didn't connect with it sometimes. Ended up buying a barely used GT350 that I also sold for more than I paid, and...
Even though I would not sell my ZF Supra for a manual this is why I hope Toyota offers one before the end of the MKV. There are lots of car enthusiasts like yourself out there that be great for the brand and would love this car (former C7 Z51 manual owner myself).
Yeah I went to two Corvette meets with my C7 and it was a terrible experience. Most of the guys hated the C7 (seriously I heard more negative comments about the tail lights than you can imagine). None of them were interested in track events, mods, etc. It was a "get off my lawn" mentality. I...
