~ keep in mind some flat panels (top) will sometimes show slightly higher readings than side panels. also plastic painted areas (bumpers) will differ from aluminum or metal panels. hope this helps.
If you attempt to try to fix it via glue … it will then become your fault and total expense.
Let the dealer take care of it… explain you pulled the cover off and the part failed. This way they will warranty it and make the necessary repairs.
~ the marks/flaws would be in the factory clear coat… not the ceramic coating…
so many detailing companies make customers think a ceramic coating is like an impenetrable thick protection … but it’s not… however it helps with the cars finish.
in my opinion ceramic coatings work well for a car...
Unfortunately rock chips typically don’t buff out.
Also many think ceramic coating reduces chips… not the case either.
Clear bra / PPF is really your only option to lessen the chance of rock chips to the paint. I also recommend covering the headlights in film.
The Supra’s paint is soft…...
Drove my Supra for the first time at night since owning it as of Feb. (yeah strange). Typically take the suv when we go out for the evening.
The dash looks great as do the headlights.
Enjoyable.
