I love the careful wording to avoid undercutting the GT4, makes me wonder how quick this car is with the pdk (if available). Nevertheless, Toyota needs to step up to the plate.
I do understand, if you actually read the question I asked you then you would know that I am putting that rhetoric to question. Toyota has remained the leader in car sales without a halo car for almost 20 years so what is there to gain to introducing an expensive sales risk to the formula?
So...
Okay boomer, whether or not someone "needs" 8 airbags, crumple zones, and a backup camera is debatable youre right. But those things are not debatable when a manufacturer has to build a car to meet a country's or region's standards. So yeah they are actually needs
You mean economies of scale...
Then let's not pretend the RC doesn't share a platform with the IS and GS. They had a opportunity to reduce the weight when they stitched together 3 chassis' but it didn't save weight over the larger GS. Even the $100k RC F Track Edition barely breaks 3800 with its extensive weight savings...
I think the Toyota designed interior, that looks nothing like any BMW interior, with BMW knobs and switches in the Supra is better executed than the GR Yaris despite both having Toyota's design language
Because it is irrelevant since this build is literally just recreating the wheel for the sake of doing so. It is even less impressive for the motor because since he removed all the things that make it difficult to modify. No where does this advance the platform nor does it separate itself from...
Except this wasn’t 1000hp in 6 months, this is 800-900hp in 4 years while not utilizing any of the technology of the 21st century. Instead of shining light to the B58, it only promotes Papadakis Racing which could probably achieve 1000bhp with any modern 6+ cylinder engine given the time and...
I am not trying to discredit all the work done here but I don't see how this brings anything new to the platform overall. His 1000bhp is somewhere between ~825-900whp which has already been accomplished all while going many steps backwards in technology. Yes there will be many new aftermarket...
X3 M Competition hits 0-60 in 3.3s, imagine how quick that would be in a car 1000lbs less

The headlights look better than I imagined but the oem headlights look incredible so I don't know why anyone would change them.
Although the MK4 tails are iconic, I firmly believe round tails in non-round housings looks terrible especially on a car with such aggressive angles
That isn't certain at all.
"Speaking more generally on collaboration, Espinosa said he was open to conversations with other car makers with sports cars as he recognised the business cases for them have become ever more challenging."...
That is quite an improvement over the 402 and 400 from the C7. A ~40% gain in power while also improving emissions is remarkable. Almost too remarkable perhaps?
