First time on track in the Supra. Lots of room for improvement.

I gotta say - I’m super impressed with the Garmin Catalyst. It makes it so easy to choose a thing or two to work on and watch my lap times drop. I don’t think I’d have the patience or time for a deeper data system at this point. It looked like maybe 30-40% of the people at my track day Friday...

At my level I still have seconds I can take off my lap time. Until I plateau and feel like I’m battling those last few tenths, I’m going to try not to upgrade the car….Much.

Hey there, Anyone have feedback about using a Simpson hybrid-s device with the Supra? I'm 6'3 and already have to be very mindful when I climb in/out of the car with a helmet on. I've never owned a HANS device before, so I'm not sure how much it will limit my mobility getting in/out. Cheers!

Hi gang, Any suggestions for a good bag to hold track day essentials - helmet, air compressor, snacks, water etc. ? How are you keeping your stuff organized and easy to remove from the car? This beast looks kinda cool but it’s out of stock and details are scarce...

How did BMWs (and cars in general) get so fat? I know we’ve added tons of tech, but isn’t much of that fairly light sensors and SoCs? Barring infotainment I guess. Is it the ‘platform’ engineering model - where designers are forced to choose from a given shared parts bin? Have evolving crash...

Part of what led me here was many years ago while my 86 was having PPF and tint installed, I was given an e46 328 w MT. I was blown away by how much fun I had driving that car, and it’s always stuck with me.

Thanks @Rocksandblues. I considered the ci (as well as more $$$ options up to 1st gen Cayman). But given the fact it’s hard to pass up the Supra for motorsport. the xi was a bargain. You’re right, it seems most problem areas have been addressed. Especially the death airbags. i have considered...

It’s sort of like a normally aspirated WRX with more lux/refinement (and weight!). The Harmon Kardon system is paired with a custom sub enclosure and is probably better than the Supra JBL (not that I’m saying much there….).
