I would support body parts\kits etc that effectively DELETE the FT1's worst influences lol. First up, someone please make a 1 piece door that gets rid of that stupid door vent, thanks a lot for that FT1.
IMO, the mk5s front bumper turned out nicer then the FT1s.
Anybody get a look at the hood...
Yeah Toyota uses liftback, as it is in my quote. But, if it has a hatch, then I call it a hatchback. We tend to latch onto the most popular terms for things so people know WTF we're talking about. Hence why most refer to the mk4's removable roof as a Targa top (Porsche's term actually) vs Sport...
Nobody adds weight to a production car to intentionally slow it down. This is not a minimum weight class based racing series, its vehicle manufacturing in the suv/safety/gadget/pork age.
As for the twin turbos, BMW has moved away from them with this engine family, I doubt Toyota had much option...
Fastback is Fords marketing term for these mustang's I believe...
Still has a trunk so not a hatchback.
From the wikipedia page on the first gen Celica...
"Body style: 2-door notchback coupe; 2-door convertible; 3-door liftback"
But of course the first gen Celica is notorious for looking...
I can see that, but it remains to be seen if a full set of clubs fit in the Supra.
I also question how those numbers are calculated. I can see the mk5 having more storage volume over the GT86, but even with the front and rear trunks of the Cayman, I have trouble envisioning it having more being...
"It’s in the Nissan DNA and its heritage to keep everything in house,” chimed spokesperson Kyle Torrens.
"You still have a [very large] group of individuals and that’s what they want," explained Roe. "And they still want manual transmissions. And if you want to keep them, you have to figure out...
Sigh. Never been on a forum with Mods with this much time on their hands. If I wanted my content here, I would have posted it here. It didn't actually involve the mk5 and the joke is lost without the thread title.
Why does he keep shifting!!!!
They even put a manual transmission shift sound into the audio track, evil!
At least the directors of the video understand how important a true manual is.

They're not advertising whp, they just under rated enough that it happens to be under rated by roughly the same amount as the drivetrain losses. With a turbo motor its pretty smart to leave yourself some breathing room due to how their output can vary with altitude, temperature and different...
So the bolt on door piece bolts onto the bolt on door piece? Missed opportunity there (fake vent delete). I'd get that price made in 1 in FG (and delete the vent). Think of all the weight you would save just in fasteners lol
Negatory. Titronic was a manufacturer's marketing buzzword for a traditional automatic that could be manually shifted with buttons/levers. You know, exactly like the mk5 has. No clutches involved.
But speaking of the LFA, a single clutch manual is exactly what the LFA had, not a real automatic...
What are you guys going on about? This car does not drive itself, its not AWD and it doesn't have electronic trickery that turns you into an ace driver. Every generation of Supra has been offered with a traditional automatic transmission, this one just doesn't offer a manual (yes huge mistake...
Its drive by wire, these aren't planes. And FYI, the 98-02 Supra in Japan had it too. Drive by wire isn't necessarily evil, depends how well its implemented. Pretty much all cars went drive by wire around 2000.
