The Z4 M Coupe is beautiful, you are not alone. It was just let down by the front end, stupid kidney grills don't work on every single type of vehicle. The z4 Coupe was kind of like the mk4 like that, awesome side and rear profiles, the front is good but never quite compared to the car's ass end...
Hey, do you know what the difference is between 10 year old BMWs and new ones today reliability wise? Just 10 years of age. All new cars are generally decently reliable. A vehicle's reliability is tested once it has aged and had some serious miles put on it. If people think BMW somehow turned...
But bespoke triangle post that bolts to the body. This is actually the exact same situation as the mk2 Supra. They put different mirrors on the 85 Celica XX in Japan, but they were actually the exact same mirrors as they used on the AE86 and aw11, but with a unique post arrangement.
You probably won't have a choice. Most cars with solutions like this have the plate attachment attached for you by the time you pickup the car. MAYBE if you pre or special order one you can get them to not drill the bumper and attach the bracket.
Is this not the exact same scenario as with the...
Wonder if this thing is getting a BMW style vin or Toyota style vin, or both. Toyota leaves at least 6 digits for the actual chassis number in their vins, and they don't roll over with model year either. Model year doesn't even factor into them.
That vin number makes no sense. Either there is 200 cars made before this one for other markets, or they're only building 99 Supras for North America
Re the front bumper, he's talking about the little flirty things on the corners. The main big openings all feed into the rad, intercooler heat exchangers and from the diagrams, probably the brakes too (though its hard to tell if the brakes have their own venting or the heat exchangers dump into...
They do actually have their own turbo 4 now. Somehow I only learned about it this year, but its been around since 2016. Guess thats what happens when you only stick it in boring Lexus SUVs.
Maybe they're putting their new TT V6 in that chassis to see what it does.
that water drain channel is unrelated to the vent. It will be the drain for the water that gathers at the base of the windshield. All cars have some kind of evacuation system to drain water from there.
JZ like reliability, not a chance. Toyota abandoned the M motor for a reason. A 2jz for all practical intents and purposes is the same motor. They burned it to the ground and started over due to all of the LEGACY issues. People seem to forget a 7m is stroked 5m which is a stroked 4m which is a...
None of us are exactly privy to the specifics of this deal. From what I got from the interviews I've read, Toyota has either traded something (hybrid tech) or outright paid BMW cash for a portion of the development of this car, the split not necessarily (or even likely) being 50%. And by the...
Do you mean suspension tuning wise? Visually the car doesn't look like its missing anything at all with the wing removed. Its not hideous with it, but I prefer the subtler looks of the car without. Puts it more in tune with the beautiful sc300.
Not my car.
Wingless mk3s, mmmmm...
I think they look better with the later low pro turbo spoiler. Kinda like mk2s. The early wing is gross IMO (same with mk3s), they look fantastic with no wing, but I think best with the later low pro spoiler too.
No way, will come down to layout preference. I'm not a fan of mid engined or rear engined cars. A true 50:50 FR car is much more predictable and fun to drive IMO.
