Yeah, they are just door guard protectors. The one linked above is the correct style but it has words on it so you will have to scratch them off. I can't find the solid black ones online. I did find the ones that I'm using. It is a matte finish and has a pattern but blends into the rubber...
I've been using the cheap fix for several weeks. I haven't had any issues at highway speeds (70mph). I just finished a road trip last weekend and the majority of the time I had the windows down on the highway because the weather was just too nice.
As far as the noise with the windows up, I...
Last option if you want a Toyota Logo, I can't confirm 100%, but I would bet money that the Prius/Corolla one might fit too. The caliper measurement is not 100% touching the edges so it would seem like it would be an exact fit. I just can't find any inner diameters to confirm. It would be...
They also have them on Amazon for the same price so you could save time on shipping by going through Prime. The exact same ones as above in both black and chrome.
UPDATE: < These did not give an exact fit as expected and are a little loose >
Chrome...
ebay has a couple that should work too. You can find black or chrome on there. I believe this is the one that is pictured above in the first post by the OP. You just have to slap any 56mm sticker on there and customize it however you want...
Tip: If your using a leaf blower, try to cover the end of the blower so you don't scratch your car on accident. Sometimes your focusing on the water and you keep getting closer and closer to the paint. Next thing you know, you scratched it with the hard plastic end of the blower. Depending...
I've had to do this on BMW cars in the past and it's a quick fix. Your just programming the car where to stop on each up/down. It should hopefully fix your issues.
What about overlays on the badge? Anyone use those to just cover everything up? Pretty sad to see all these new badges go to crap in a short period of time.
I noticed a noise that pops up every once in awhile. I originally thought it was the cross brace that you were referring to but I uninstalled it and re-installed it and it was solid. The noise re-appeared and I finally realized that it's the cargo cover in the rear hatch. It's on the...
Rear Finished:
It blends into the curves pretty nice and feels secure but not as secure at the front guard. Locking the front guard under the fender liner made a huge difference. Unfortunately you can’t do that with the rear. Overall, totally satisfied for my first pair of splash guards.
Tip:
There are three spacers that get installed behind the guard. The spacer on the very bottom was definitely too tall and didn’t allow for a flush stealth fit. It pushed the guard away from the body of the car. I used and angle grinder and ended up shaving off a good amount to get a clean...
Tip:
The pilot holes for the screws are larger than they need to be. I felt like the plastic didn’t have enough support and had potential to crack at the screw point. I had some spare black flat washers lying around that I was able to use. I still would have liked to have a larger diameter...
Rear Installation:
You can probably install them without taking the rear tires off but it will be very tedious and you will need a right angle screwdriver to complete the installation. I’m too impatient and my hands are too big plus I don’t mind pulling the wheel off myself.
Remove the (3)...
Tip:
I would recommend pushing in the rivets in the middle first and then work your way outwards. Also be sure that the rivet is completely flush to the fender liner before you push the plastic pin in place and lock it in.
