re PR material: aero maps would be a lot more useful as a published metric for these "packages", vs a line chart that basically just shows v^2... even a simple table of l/d f&r for a single speed is more useful.
e.g. this:
re adding aero: aero balance makes a bigger difference in laptimes...
what are you using for interactive parts diagrams? sometimes i know what I'm looking for on the diagram, but it's just a static image on the parts slinger site and can't be clicked through
Booo, i was just thinking of the sheer girth of diffuser tunnels we can shove in there if the coolers wasn't in the way of 3.0 builds, way more than this:
the diffusing portion doesn't go into the bumper at all, it's just keeping the exhaust cooled, terminating after it meets the muffler. flow vis showed full attachment to the bumper mount point
porsche's doing something similiar after the 991.1 RS mufflers started cracking
downforce doesn't slow down your rate of acceleration, drag does. this wing, which does not conform to any naca profile, just adds frontal surface area at the rear, and drag. no pressure/suction benefit to be had at this shape and height, just downsides. won't help cornering, won't help...
