I felt the same way, and I turned mine back on too. Then I added a powered sub, and ASD began feeding back uncontrollably, so that was the end of that. It's not terribly different than putting a mic on an instrument, so I don't see the big deal. Besides, if you actually consider yourself a...
I've had a Datsun 280 with a SBC, a 350Z, and a 370Z, but I'm no brand whore. Nissan waited too long to make even incremental changes on the Z car for me to consider the next one. But as they say, competition improves the breed, so best of luck to them. The more, the merrier!
First things first:
Standard disclaimer: This is how I did it. Your results may vary, but if you're not confident in what you're doing, pay someone well versed in this to do it. You don't want to damage your car, maim yourself, or burn all your shit to the ground while attempting to improve your...

Anyone else see the relevance of this to us? The more vehicles that utilize this, the better they can spread out development costs, especially when in relatively low volumes.
Gyeon Synchro here. Very easy to apply, looks great. Doing a maintenance layer after each wash. I think any brand will do, so long as you thoroughly prep; just comes down to budget and personal preference.
So I took the plunge and bought a pnp kit from Technic that fits the 3x/8x series and can confirm it fits, though I haven't gotten it powered up yet. The included harnesses, for our purposes, provide a 4-pin speaker input connector and a 3-pin power/ground/remote out connector for an LOC. But I...
Same here. I like how the car performs and sounds, and I'm not one to change just for the sake of change. But I would like more exhaust volume without a CEL staring me in the face constantly and without spending 2-3k in the process.
Great write up, Tadda. Got all the stuff to do this myself, and I seriously doubt I would've tackled this without your guide. And once I get some more dynamat, I'll be pulling door panels too. :D
Scissors will do. They have 3m tape on the back, so make sure the spots you're going to apply them to are cleaned with alcohol, and a little heat applied won't hurt either. Super easy.
Cool. I've got an Alpine PDR-M65 that I was thinking would pair nicely with a shallow mount DVC Kicker L7 (12"). The factory system sounds pretty good, but I think that having plenty of sonic headroom is always wise, especially when it comes to low bass response. ?
Any update on this? I'm really curious as to whether one of their harnesses will work with our existing system. And if necessary, I'd be happy to email them for a response too.
This has been said ad nauseum, but the car industry as a whole looks nothing like it did in the 90s when there was a bumper crop of excellent Japanese sports cars. Those cars are revered not just because of excellent (over)engineering and great designs, but also because of the state of a global...
I'd definitely like to find out as well. They do list a few options depending on which sound system is equipped, but emailing them would probably be the fastest way to know for certain.
