did your new brake pads came with shims? if it didn't did you transfer shims from OEM to new?
btw, if you have R1concept or powerstop brake pads... never mind..
certainly extra fan may be helpful..
my recommendation to all HPDE /w stock supra has been leave the hood closed. Because, after spirited run, fan is on even engine is off until engine cools down to certain degree and if you open the hood, the air blown into engine bay from front immediately...
i haven't seen any stock supra having issue during trackdays. with tuned supra, some were fine, some were not. very unpredictable... so if you plan to tune it, tune it for longevity, perhaps? mine is not tuned so I don't worry.
having different compound of tire on front and rear could result in unpredictable behavior of the car, especially for rear wheel drive. with harder compound in rear, will promote over steer characteristic. Traction control will help you but still not recommended. lowering pressure may help...
- Your driving view is lower, much, much lower.
- Your vision is not well covered as SUV. use electronics such as blind spot & backup camera.
- may need to think about what you can buy at store (like grocery). avoid costco. large items like bundle of TP or paper towel should be limited to 1...
