Thought I'd share this video by Kirk on new rumors reported by BestCar web. EV Supra in 2025 RWD w/about 550hp. Interesting times ahead! If true, his bodes well for resale values for the ICE variants. Link to vid below.
Good, this leaves more time for Akio to push through more GR science projects. First, I'd like to see the GRMN Supra with the new M2 running gear in North America. Then, up the crazy with GR Prius, preferably with a detuned version of the hypercar engine, like an RS3 is a baby R8. Then a GR...
Another option to consider, is mechanical breakdown insurance. Cost is nominal and much cheaper than extended warranty, but only offered through Geico. Caveat is (1) no mods, (2) doesn't cover anything already under factory warranty, and (3) need to get coverage before hitting 15k miles.
Holy hell u have a M2 CS? How did you get your hands on one- that is a very rare animal. But bravo on having that in your driveway! Around where I'm at its BMW-land and I still have not seen a M2 CS on the road.
Unless you're still within toyotacare maintenance, I agree with others and recommend finding a local performance/tuning shop. Toyota dealers in general struggle with the training and supply chain to maintain Supras.
Was an interesting comparo and valid points and critiques raised about both. Toyota has publicly said the GR supra was baselined against the 718 Cayman, the wheelbase is the same. While I guess you can compare anything I think the buyer for each is a bit different. Perhaps a closer comparo...
Congrats OP! And like others have said, you have the best of both worlds at your disposal...practical trucks to be the daily, and Supra as the fun car.
I've heard anecdotally the PS4S are louder and more firm than the OEM PSS, can't speak from personal experience. Check out the Yokohama Advan apex V601s. I believe someone else on the forum did a detailed write up and confirmed it provided a good balance between street drivability and...
Hi OP, I'm assuming you're in Charleston or in the low country based on the sticker. I bought my Supra from Toyota of Greenville. My dealer was Omar Hernandez, they charge MSRP with a few add-ons from Southeast Toyota (cables, toyoguard, cargo mat), but not too bad. I had driver's assist...
I have no doubt the M2 will be impressive and will feel lighter than it's curb weight suggests. Which may be more fun? I suppose depends on what you plan to do with it. Straight line performance may be similar, steering feel I speculate will be more feedback in Supra, and visibility in M2 will...
Good. One step further we have a GR Prius. 350 brake horsepower @315 lbs. ft of torque. And do the off-road things when want to be a hooligan on fire roads w/an LSD and the torque vector thing. And 50 mpg with stupidly gr8 reliability. It's the GR Corollas cousin with an Adderall fix.
