I did not try any of the fuses in the rear hatch area. My guess (purely) is the lights are software controlled. If I get bored when the temps go down I may try it but Iām hoping you try it first. :)
No worries. I tried ALL of the fuses listed for the courtesy lights. 6 of them if memory serves and none of them operate with the door opening and closing.
I was happy to help out and post up so at least others would know what to expect if they used those fuses. It's hot here in TX too. I've got a portable A/C for the garage which helps. I also got up before the sun came out. It was only about 80 degrees out there.
I agree that a wiring schematic...
Sooooo.....
I've tried all of the fuses that are listed for the courtesy lights. The lights will not turn off when the car is locked, so these will not act like the overhead courtesy lights.
This thread motivated me to do a little exploration.
I went the route of pulling some fuses to see which one would kill power to the courtesy lights and I found F62 worked. I tried F61 first and the lights stayed on. F36, lights stayed on. F62 lights went out, yay but no yay.
F62 will kill...
Good luck man. Sorry to hear this has happened to you. Donāt know what you do for a living but reach out to all of your contacts, past and present and let them know youāre in the hunt for new opportunities.
I donāt think it would be hard for a shop that deals with modern cars to re-skin the seats. At one point a forum member was selling the red skins from the LE cars. Seems very do-able
Soooo sorry to hear this man. My wife has been hit by people with "The General" insurance and it just sucks to try and work through that crap. Let your insurance company and your lawyer work for you...and since you've lawyer'd up...show now no mercy!
I was seriously looking at the C8 and at the time the Supra was a distant second. The C8 was appealing from a bang for your buck perspective, but once I saw one in the metal, I fell out of love. I lurked on a Corvette forum and wow, just wow. Many threads degenerated into some sort of political...
Dude, that sucks hard. You being OK is the most important part.
Insurance is different from state to state but I would be prepared to fight, I've experience accidents with others at fault and the other insurance company can be a pain to deal with. Best scenario is if you both have the same...
How are you guys coping with the roads up there and the Supra. I used to live in the Detroit area, moved to Texas about 10 years ago and I don't miss those roads. I sacrificed many a wheel and tire to I-75 and I-94.
The local domestic muscle car crowd playing nice?
