When you installed the Maxton pieces, mainly the sides and spats, did you use screws and a drill or just 3m tape? Mine should be arriving this Friday so I'm trying to get an idea. I know the front has screws and drill holes but I've never seen anyone show whether or not the sides and rear spats...
Ohh did you get into an accident or was the ECU locked? Either way, glad to see you stuck with the platform. This reminds me of when I swapped from a 2011 Genesis Coupe to a 2016 and had to rebuild the damn thing haha. Your car is beautiful btw.
You will certainly notice a difference in power and responsiveness with just a down pipe install. I belive when mine was installed, before tune, my car saw roughly a 30whp and 30wtq gain across the entire rev range.
To each their own haha, I grew up around 60's-70's muscle cars and love the "gas and exhaust fume" smell. I have a cat less DP and you do for sure smell a ton of exhaust/gas fumes when idling.
Well thanks to seeing your car in those pics you posted from Jekyll Island, it prompted me to look further into this kit and I ended up purchasing the V2 front lip from Maxton UK because it was OOS everywhere else, and I purchased the V1 sides and rear spats from Maxton US. Very excited to get...
I wonder what my car could do with a meth setup and some DA like that? Man that's moving though, I'm glad you JB4 guys have a good tuner to help you out.
I love it. Where did you purchase the Maxton pieces, were they easy to install, and are they sturdy? I think im about to pull the trigger on that setup right now lol.
Which springs do you awaiting installation? I made a thread similar to this a week or so ago and it seems like the "best overall" tire size to fit on the OEM wheels is 265/35/19 front and 285/35/19 rear. I had several people recommend 305s in the rear but I don't believe they offer the most...
Yea I gotcha. Well the average valid runs I have are all around 5.25-5.35. The car is certainly getting quicker with each MHD tune revision. I can't wait for the next revision with "more boost". Currently only at 20-21psi.
Also ran grabbed these 40-100's while I was out today. It's odd how "low sats" can invalidate a run, either that or the slope being 2.49+ caused it. I live in the middle of fking no where lol, nothing but farm fields and back roads.
MHD, custom tune revision 6, E40 blend. Tuner just said we can up the boost a bit more as well. I'm very happy with this. The car ran 3, back to back 8.3 second 60-130's.
So far so good
I just did this install over the weekend and my springs came with rubber sleeves pre-installed, only on the rears though. I've driven about 100 miles on these springs now and I would say they ride identical to the OE springs ride quality and no noises that I can speak of and I've...
