Totally agree with you re the pricing and the wow factor. Seems in the US far more demand for the car then here where it's very much an also ran already. Think the drawn out launch process isnt helping, nor the fact that it's auto only - which is where I'm really struggling.

Thats my point... for £50k (we assume) it needs to be special, otherwise £30k to go on a proven motor. To be fair £50k would buy me another 911 Turbo - now that was a special car <insert sweet memories sequence....>

Same boat as you - though for £1k was worth a punt, but so far nothing is screaming at me that I MUST have this car. Will reserve judgement until Monday however, and if it's looking a bit 'meh' I'll prob go get a 981 Cayman S.

Not surprised they havent shifted 300 - cant have been selling more than that for the Mk4 in its prime. (Not hating btw - have one on order!)

One of the guys said he placed a deposit on christmas day without any issue which would suggest there are still slots available. The supra market place is pretty small/niche given it's a car that stopped production 15yrs ago and most casual observers never really pair much attention to either...

I can see a lot of deposits being cancelled once the spec/price is revealed. Problem Toyota have is they have dragged this launch out for SO long, people just bored of waiting, and those who have waited now need to be blown away otherwise the car will be a let down.

Look at the pic carefully. On the nose either side are 2 little extensions with holes in them. Suggests this is where a front plate would screw in.

Got my deposit down - but on sunday went to see an X2 with my girlfriend, and sat next to it was the M2 comp. My god that car looks good! This supra has to be special when revealed otherwise i think my deposit will be going elsewhere.
