What an absolutely crazy race that was.
OCON P1...just insane.
Ferrari moved closer to P3 in constructors, so that battle is back on.
It's crazy what rain can do to a race.
If Max can make those soft tires work for him and the new PU helps to close the gap to the front, I think it's possible for Max to get P1. A safety car could be a game changer.
Red Bull extends their lead, and Max comfortably cruises to finish.
This won't be a close race.
My only question is will Checo redeem himself this race?
I hope so, Red Bull as a team need the points.
I'm just happy to see some red on the podium. I feel sorry for Charles, having to reset his engine map at 200 mph...fucking hell man.
Glad that Max seems to be okay after that crash.
Lewis should have gotten a larger penalty with how dangerous the stunt he pulled was.
Fitting that Tom Cruise...
I'm gonna be honest here as someone who watches all of the sessions in the normal format, I find myself just leaving the live feed to do other stuff this weekend.
The new format is boring to me. There is more stuff, but each event means less. I think for the other sprint qualifying races this...
That would be better. I just don't think the sprint race is going to be as exciting as people think. Nobody in their right mind is going to jeopardize their Sunday for a slightly better grid spot (because the only people who will get points are the top finishers anyway).
Part of me thinks that...
What I would like to see is a single qualifying session instead of 3, just determine the pecking order from there, similar to the free practice rankings.
I don't want any strategies to be involved in Qualifying.
Just let the drivers put out their fastest lap.
Free choice of starting tire on...
I find it hard to be excited about the qualy results today. They are basically meaningless.
I'm happy for George qualifying P8, but not as happy as I would have been had this actually been qualifying for the race.
I have been using the Continental DWS06 UHP All-Season tires and they work wonderfully.
I went with 10mm wider front (265/35) and rear (285/35) and have more traction than the stock PS4S tires that came with the car.
Also the tires are lighter than the PS4S tires. So there is less rotational...
Great race, but the penalties were ridiculous.
Sucks for Vettel there at the end.
Valtteri making a strong case for himself this race. He will more races like that, I feel.
Perez and Leclerc, terrible form. They could learn a thing or two from Alonso about staying on the track.
Toto officially confirmed that both George and Valtteri are being evaluated for who will be Lewis' teammate next season.
My money is on George unless Valtteri can step his game up considerably.
Yeah, I think even Seb was saying the same thing.
Not much he could have done, but in the end he was the one in the way.
I think a couple of cars in front of Seb should have also gotten a penalty.
Anyone who slowed in that last bit of track should have gotten a penalty.
Lewis Hamilton is a great driver compared to most racing drivers; however, compared to F1 racing drivers I would say he is slightly above average with his ability in the wet and his ability to look after the tires.
This was highlighted when Russell took his car for a race, and completely...
LANDO FUCKING NORRIS!!!
What a lap. P2 man, great qualy.
Mercs were nowhere. Great effort from Sergio as well.
Feel bad for Alonso, Vettel was an idiot there at the end of the lap.
Ferrari took a risk and it didn't work out for them, but I suspect they will have the race pace to make it back...
I wouldn't be so sure about Valtteri's seat, unless he gets signed by the end of Silverstone. They might have been waiting to sign Valtteri to see if Lewis was going to continue his time at Mercedes. If he isn't signed by then, I would say Russell has a good chance of getting picked up if...
For sure. Norris is definitely a fantastic driver. He is consistent and performs well. It will be exciting watching his career progress. I would be surprised if he doesn't win a world championship at some point in the future.
I would love to have seen a Ric and Alonso duo at Alpine. I think Ric...
