They must've added weight to the 2023 models because I have never seen a 3.0 premium tested at 3460 lbs. Also if tested cars had half a tank(6.85 gallons) that would only be a 40-45 lb drop in weight.
I have the exact front sway bar(AFE) and everything you said is on point. I don't feel the need for a rear sway bar because the car is so much sharper with the bar and 1.2 inch Vogtland lowering springs I bought.
And there's another manufacturer as well. Armytrix!
When I had my 2.0 Supra, I went with Function Werks, and it only threw a CEL after I added a piggyback. But if I took the piggyback off there was no CEL. I had this car for 10k miles
Now on my 3.0 I have the Armytrix and the same piggyback...
My 2021 has upgraded firmer spring, sway bars and a better alignment setup than the POS stock alignment. I don't remember what my stock 2021 3.0 feels like lol.
I'm not a fan of the 2.0 suspension. Now I think if the 3.0 suspension was on the 2.0 I can definitely see where you're coming from. The 2.0 body roll is way more noticeable in corners while 3.0 has a more planted feel to me
I was quoting the figures that came directly from Toyota, and Motortrend(google MT first test of 2.0 Supra)tested the balance of the 2.0 and it was not 50/50 without a driver. I aslo disagree with the drives better part because the suspension difference alone makes the 3.0 feel more surefooted...
This dynojet has SAE smoothing vs STD. I like how dynojet can take both into account. The majority of the nicer numbers floating around is on Dynojets with STD smoothing.
In a track setting I agree with what savagegeese and others do by having similar tire. Now in a non track setting I'd agree with the folks here who have an issue with it not being "stock tires"
I've owned both 2.0 and 3.0 over the course of 2.5 years(1 year 2.0/1.5 year 3.0) and I will say handling easily favors 3.0 because the stock suspension on the 2.0 is way too soft vs having sport suspension on 3.0 but after I replaced the springs it was way better on the 2.0. Also the balance of...
You still don't get it. It's his OPINION and that doesn't make it fact. The ND2 Miata(and even the Z) is a victim of the new age era EPS steering/soft gt suspension and many reviewers have called it disconnected feeling especially compared to the NA/NB cars and the 300ZX. The Nismo Z has stiffer...
You do know that you can look at the opinions of many reviewers and get different results right? Mark, isn't big on the Supra because he wanted it to be a pure Japanese car like the Nissan Z so he actively overlooks the shortcomings of the Z and bags on the Supra having BMW bones. However many...
The S58 would also add a bit of weight up front screwing up the 52/48 balance. I believe it will have a slight bump in power but stay B58 but then everything else will be sharper just like the Nismo Z. If you were wanting more than that the price would be north of 80k I bet. I think this will 70...
