I'm not even able to place an order for a matte/gloss black at this point so I don't think carbon fiber alone is the issue here.
My communications with Automodz went from "We're opening a second batch in a week" in the middle of April to radio silence now mid June and all the replica spoilers...
Same.
I think longer paddle shifters would only become handy if they were fixed to the steering column so you can reach them more easily while turning the wheel.
In the case of paddles attached to the wheel I don't see how it would make any difference. I'd think people are buying them only for...
Makes total sense that they would go with a BMW service interval instead of the typical Toyota for this car. I just googled the Z4's schedule and it's 10k miles/1year for oil and filter.
I'll reach the year before the 10k miles for sure so I'll stick with their schedule....also because I'm not...
The reason why I'm undecided has nothing to do with cost and everything to do with what's best for the engine.
Now having said that, I know nothing about engines. I take my cars to their scheduled maintenance service and that's pretty much it, lol
Someone suggested to let the factory oil do its...
I was planning on doing the oil change for my 2.0 at 5k miles (which is roughly 7 months) but the service rep also said to me today that the recommendation for the Supra is 10k miles or 1 year.
I haven't had any oil warnings nor I expect to have the infamous oil issues in the 2.0 but 10k miles...
If I thought the Supra looked like clown shoes, I can assure you I wouldn't have spent CAD$60k in one but I'm concerned you think it does and you're considering it, or so you say :dunno:
In fairness, the Supra didn't look "great" either in pics from certain angles....totally different story in...
Thanks man, never say never!! Once all this craziness is over and borders reopen, I might stay in Seattle for the weekend and take you on that offer!
Drove to Whistler and back a few times during winter which is some 300km round trip. That highway is a dream to drive in this car.
Waiting for travel restrictions to be lifted here in BC to drive past Whistler and do the whole loop around the mountains (in summer tires this time) which should be...
Nahh, we know how to fight back ?
But we are very low in numbers compared to 3.0 owners so it is what it is
Now on topic, I'm getting 24 mpg in my 2.0
Normal mode on weekdays as my daily commute is about 3 miles to and from work....Sport mode on weekends
I've been driving cars with paddle shifters for some 17 years now. My first car with paddles was an Alfa Romeo 147 and it was like a dream come true. I felt like a Formula1 driver lol. Since then, all my cars have come with paddles
Nowadays I only switch to manual when I wanna have some...
I'll add to this as in my case it has also always been while the car is cold and almost positive it was in Sport mode......hasn't happened in over a month though.
Also non engine type dependent either as mine is a 2.0 (B48)
I'm with max here.
Kept my FR-S for 6 years because there was no other car within my budget that excited me enough to trade it for.....until the Supra made an appearance, that is.
I don't have a need for SUV's/CUV's, sport sedans don't excite me and muscle cars even less so.
I don't see...
This should be covered by insurance.....assuming you're paying one lol
Mine cracked only 2 months after getting the car. I paid the CAD$200 deductible to get it replaced and it only took a couple hours. The actual cost was something around CAD$1,500.
Apparently these windshields are fragile...
Exactly. I can even carry my skis inside the car. Back seats in sports cars are useless anyways so in exchange you get a slightly bigger trunk in the Supra. This isn't any less practical than say an 86/BRZ.
2.0 owner here and I just typed this 5 minutes ago related to your question.
Short answer, no I don't regret it and yes it's pretty quick, ask the police officer that gave me a speeding ticket a couple of weeks ago ?
