BOVs typically need Boost and Vac ref to function the best. From the look of the setup, its only boost going to it and no vac. So response will tend to be a bit lazier. There should probably be a controller or something that controllers the solenoid.
most owners aren't looking for 20" wheels on a sports car imo. Especially one so small. there is a very small percent of "show" car owners with supras. most Race, and a 20" wheel is not ideal for that. I recommend offering smaller sizes. just my opinion of course.
yes you would need to unlock again. Whether or not your tuner charges you, is up to them. A situation like that, i wouldn't. But beware with Ecutek, you will probably get charged because you will lose the flash license if the dealer flashes the ecu. So at a minimum you'll be paying for the...
if by chance your ECU was one of the ones that didnt need an unlock initially, it will certainly need one once the dealer updates the modules. The Dealer software on the toyota side does not have and "Expert" mode like the BMW version. That means they cant just update individual modules...
i dont think people know A90 vs A91 means nothing. A91 is just the 1000 unit special edition. ALL others are still A90 supras. So A90 or A91 doesn't matter. its the build date that's all that matters in terms of the new Bosch locked ECU or the others. and there are some A91s with tna early...
yes, autotuner unlock works with MHD and BM3. as long as the build date is not 7/2020 and on. Because there is no solution for those yet. for Ecutek, it can only be unlocked by someone using BFlash.
to read codes, the car needs to be in diagnostic mode.... IE- 3 fast presses of the Engine start button, not just 1 press which is like accessory mode. There are some codes that will not clear with the engine running and logic written to require an ignition cycle to clear and reset the checks.
