That was a left hand turn :)
What were ambient temps? I am guessing high IAT started bringing down torque/load target big time. Where you logging at all?
Yea, I was faster on a 275/35 and 275/40 on 10.5 than a 295/35 on a 10.5. This also checks with many published tests. The CRS just doesn't have a stiff enough sidewall. It felt like the car had active yaw in the back which destroyed confidence and the front would constantly snap out of the grip...
I'm not recommending 275/35 on a 18x11 although some have done that with success. 295/30 on a 11 sounds good. Def better than a 295 on anything smaller than a 11" wide wheel.
Here are the combos I have personally used on my Supra so far:
295/30/18 on 18x10.5 (Conti Force)
275/40/18 on 18x10.5...
I would def nudge you to do slight stretch and use tires with stiff sidewalls. Minus the grip, the V730's in 275/35/18 on 18x10.5 have the best steering feel of all setups I have used so far on the supra. I contribute that to them running slightly narrow so slight stretch, and stiff sidewalls...
Really depends on a lot of factors, although I do know they like more negative camber than most because their sidewalls aren't the stiffest. I kept going faster with them the more negative camber I added on my car.
Then I tried the RE71RS and CRS were dead to me after that. ;)
For contrast, my Wagner manifold lined up perfectly to everything. The only slight pain were the port o-rings staying in but a little bit of superglue helped moral improve.
Break in instructions in the manual are mainly lawyer words to make sure things like brakes, etc are bed in well and that if anything were to fail that the car wouldn't be getting it's snot beat out of it at the time.
I haven't broken in any OEM engines in my life. In fact, they are usually...
Supra is tucked away for the winter and I will be starting the trans build soon, although I am dreading taking the trans in and out.
For now, driving the M240i around during the winter, with my OEM Supra LE wheels:
How do you even see in there?!?!??! It's like a black abyss where you can't see anything because there is so much black!!! What happens when you drop a tool? Can you even see it? Do people that come in there get disorientated and you have to guide them? Back in my days we lit 100,000 candles and...
Subyownermakingbadchoices is done now? Man, I wish you would post more wisdom. I mean, other than your username that has to do with subaru. Bro, you were not set up for success with that username. Just have to say.
Just FYI, any subaru owners that wear it as a badge of honor is like 100%...
