Bite and modulation is 99.9% pad material. BBK's (well designed) add more stiffness, weight loss, cooling capacity, and depending on the kit, pad size that helps with heat and wear rate.

Mustang is better as it has more accurate load but either would work. Also recommend logging on the street after.
