The delay valve is there to smooth out engagement of the clutch by making it slower and causing more slippage. Under normal circumstances that doesn’t really cause a problem but if you’re going to be doing what that guy is, obviously it will.
Regardless of whatever caused his issues, removing...
You may want to consider not putting down a deposit at all and just checking this website daily. It will show what dealers around you have allocated before they show up on the lots.

Allocations typically come out around the 1st and 15th on...
In the G80 the CDV is in the line connecting to the slave cylinder. I know BMW has done it both ways but I'd start with checking that line first.
I looked on parts.toyota.com but didn't see it available to order.
Has anyone confirmed whether the supra actually has a clutch delay valve or not? The G80 M3 has it and this is essentially the same transmission so I'm guessing it does.
If it does, drifting with that in place is obviously going to cause problems.
I was just notified mine will be delivered this evening. Here is the full timeline for comparison:
Build: 01/09

Vessel Arrive: 03/06 (NJ)
Freight status: 03/22
Processing: 03/27
Ground Status: 03/29
Delivery: 03/29 (VA)
I just called to check in on the status of mine and they still only have 2 of the wheels and the TPMS sensors. The other two wheels are showing August ETA for me as well.
Mine is showing estimated delivery between 04/02 and 04/13 now. I'm still hoping it will show up this week.
Actually it just updated again to 03/27-03/31
I'm not saying it's only good for stock power. That was someone else.
I'm guessing this whole clutch slipping thing is going to be a non-issue in the long run. I'm sure there will be a few early build cars with issues but generally ZF clutches hold up pretty well even with a decent bump in...
Mine switched to freight status yesterday evening. The tracker website doesn't have a delivery estimation yet though.
I'm guessing next week at this point.
Probably just a special color package.
They better do a green/tan combo for one year at least. Isle of man green or java green would look great on the supra.
The "facelift" was probably 2023.
I haven't seen any credible rumors for 2024 yet though. At this point last year, the manual was all but officially confirmed.
At one point mine went from 02/07 vessel depart to 04/15 or something like that. My dealer spoke to their rep and they said they were just waiting on a ship. Apparently there is a shipping vessel shortage at the moment.
Mine ended up getting on a ship about 2 weeks later rather than 2 months...
Does anyone have sound clips of this exhaust on the stock downpipe? I don't think I've seen anyone post that.
I'm guessing it probably wouldn't drone with the stock downpipe either.
