I'm somewhat expecting another small bump in power for 2024. There were rumors last year around this time that BMW was coming out with a new B58 variant.
He's talking about this: https://www.toyota.com/search-inventory/model/supra/
For anyone who got their car recently and is on the east coast, how long did it takes yours to make it through port?
Mine should have arrived at NYC on Monday and I'm trying to get an idea of how much longer I'll...
Damn yours was on the truck the same day as processing? I was expecting it to set for a few weeks after that.
I could potentially have mine this month if that holds up. I'm close enough to NYC that they aren't shipping it by train.
It's true that certain dealers have a lot more sway with the reps that handle allocations than others, but you're probably better off checking that toyota inventory site daily and trying to find something that way.
The original dealer that I put down a deposit with on the day the manual supra...
The manual gear ratios and differential final drive ratio are the same as the M3/M4 because they are essentially the same units. Toyota made a few small changes to the transmission and the clutch is new but that's about it.
That combination of gearing works fine.
Just talked to the local dealership and they have 2 wheels + all the sensors. The other two wheels currently have a August ETA. I'm completely fine with that since I ordered these for a winter set for a car that hasn't been delivered yet.
For the people who had a car that was supposed to be loaded on a ship 02/07 but got delayed until April, it looks like they did actually get shipped last week on the 22nd.
I got this update from the dealer today:
The tracker page still just says allocation so it probably won't update until...
Yeah and is the 2 tenths of a second difference on a manual going to change that?
I said on the street but ok yeah sure for the <1% of people that are using these for actual competition the auto is going to be quicker.
I heard back from the dealer and they were able to find out that the car is at port just waiting to be picked up. There is apparently a big shortage on shipping vessels at the moment.
So for the people who have had their ship date delayed by two months, it could potentially ship out before that.
Damn that's not a good sign. My dealer is checking with their rep to see if they can find out anymore info.
I was hoping to have a car in like 6 weeks not 3 months.
I'm guessing (hoping) it's just a glitch with their tracking. I'm supposed to hear back from the dealer after they check to see if they can get any more info from their rep.
