Hopefully you don't pay anything since they're way overdone lol But yeah, about ~3.5k before tires. The wheels in the pic above are Advan GTs however.
  2. Scion FR-S / Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ

    Yeah, that's ridiculous haha.
  3. Toyota "Preparing" Hotter Supra GRMN, Says Chief Engineer

Yeah, you can't spend your whole life waiting, especially considering 50-55k is already decent money. Just depends what you want I guess. If you don't mind paying quite a bit more for a lighter car with more power, then wait?
  4. The A70TTR Dedication Thread!

It's going to end up being super popular IMO just based on what it can do for the driver and because it's geniuenely great for its price point. You have to get past the toxic group think stage that the 86/BRZ suffered through and then its all good. There will likely be a bit more contention...
  5. The MKIV vs MKV Thread

He understands that like with anything there are good ones, but those experiences definitely change the overall perception. This wasn't just the US either, interestingly enough... Either way, he wouldn't want me talking about it anyways. Negativity only breeds more negativity.
  6. Toyota "Preparing" Hotter Supra GRMN, Says Chief Engineer

There is a BBK and some other stuff like intake, exhaust, etc that will be available from the factory.
  7. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

It's possible. A lot of aftermarket companies get cars directly from the manufacturer in order to develop parts if it's going to be a product that hinges on aftermarket support.
  8. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

Yeah, it's too early to say for just this one, but if this is a trend and/or if big companies start offering swap packages, especially ones that are CARB legal etc, then it may change things. I have a feeling Toyota has had a solution the entire time and will perhaps be available as a Gazoo...
  9. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

Well it's no JZA90 that's for sure, so get on it! :D
  10. Toyota "Preparing" Hotter Supra GRMN, Says Chief Engineer

I had a long response to this, but decided to just say more or less yes. that's pretty much exactly where the GRMN would fall in line, but for less money.
  11. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

Ultima Race Works on FB: well, this sort of thing decreases the chances of a factory manual, but maybe this was the plan all along...
  12. The MKIV vs MKV Thread

Haha pretty comical then. Though to be fair, Tada himself hasn't said anything disparaging and commented that there was plenty of the same thing with the 86.
  13. When will it be at dealerships, & when should we expect test drives?

One of the higher ups for USA sent me a PM and said experience events are planned for May-ish time frame. So looks like there will be the same type of test drive experiences going on in each region. Being this is the case, June/July seem probable.
  14. Toyota "Preparing" Hotter Supra GRMN, Says Chief Engineer

Yeah, my estimate is about 2-3 years; the 86 GRMN took 4. Iirc, they debuted a concept about 2 years after the production model debuted and then 2 years later the GRMN was available (100 units, Japan only). The big caveat here and why it may come sooner is the A90 was developed top down as a...
  15. Toyota "Preparing" Hotter Supra GRMN, Says Chief Engineer

I have to be disingenous with things, but yes. More details and rumors will emerge however as times goes by. One good thing is that the standard car starts at 50k; the price estimates for the GRMN are now a bit lower which is awesome.
  16. The MKIV vs MKV Thread

Yeah we discussed it a bit before iirc, but I guess it got way worse. I hope Tada tries to not take it personally.
  17. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

If that's your outlook, you will always be disappointed.
  18. Toyota "Preparing" Hotter Supra GRMN, Says Chief Engineer

The GRMN also has certain things that folks complain about not being functional on the standard car :)
