It's a good thing those old 17" Dodge Viper wheels (PCD 5x114.3) wouldn't bolt up. It'll save you from the constant ridicule of rolling around with those ugly wheels and eggs being thrown at your car.
Nissan always had cheap looking and structured plastic parts even back in the 80-90’s. I just hope the exterior and interior design layout is simple and not exaggerated like what the article mentioned and what Nissan’s currently look like.
Probably. The rendering looks like an mini Vantage...
He said something to get a reaction and he did. I don't know why you're so focused on it. Wait until the 400Z comes out and Kobayashi will hate the Zupra even more since he's a Nissan head. If there is any validity to the specs, this will definitely give the MKV a serious run for it's money...
Well obviously he is in the pics that I've linked. C/O, BBK, BBS... This is the reason for why we mod cars; to make it better then OEM. Look at his garage and his array of awesomeness. I don't blame him either for putting the Supra down.
I highlighted it in red. You don't think he does see the aftermarket potential, hence the pictures of his Supra modified? Remember that interview was back in Jan and these pics are from a month ago. When someone has the comfort of driving other cars especially vastly more expensive one, it...
I respect Kobayashi's feedback and wouldn't discredit it at all, nor Smokey Nagata. These guys have been building cars (iconic for that matter) for a long time. I doubt you can honestly say they are blindly hating on it.

Exactly! It has too many unnecessary luxury items that not only add weight but forces the buyer to "deal with it". Toyota applied the FR-S/86 Scion program where buyers are left to buy it equipped unlike the GT86 in Japan where they offered a base model RC.
That's another Kobayashi.
Coming from Porsche and aside from the way it already is, I couldn't agree with you more on this! Toyota should have made it a more simple from the beginning.
They could have offered the infotainment fablet, JBL sub , leather full power seats, CF trim, larger wheels the premium model while...
I hear ya but just because he didn't disclose any details or data, doesn't make it invalid? I don't think he's intentionally bashing it and believe he has driven enough cars to gauge what's good and what is bad.
That's his view, it's a waste of money for him because he bought one. In...
Perhaps that’s why the 2021 has the strut tower braces. I’m sure he has his reasons for not liking the car. Maybe they’ll do a shootout.

IIRC, the GazooRacing development pro driver didn't like how the car understeered at the limit with the braces on. If I understood...
What makes you assume he doesn’t have any data?
I might be going on a whim but I bet he’s been building cars longer then you have. That was his honest opinion, chalk it up and move on. Not everyone is supposed to like the new Supra.
He mentioned how he didn't like the R35 GTR either and preferred the R34.
I'm not sure where you guys are looking but he's not just some schmuck.

If you look at the BMW forums, they don’t have kind words for the Supra.
Also, the new 2 series was leaked and the comments are saying it looks like a KIA Stinger. Lol
It is what it is. Copied, lazy designs and a young generation of bitter car enthusiasts.
