You should probably take the following with the proverbial grain of salt, as it’s only a rumor so far, albeit most of the details are quite plausible, at least up to a point.
That author is on crack. Using the SEMA 3000GT Heritage build and referenced the S58 engine. Ain't gonna happen...
+1 Toyota has been playing with your emotions. Not only Toyota but modern cars. None of the vents are functional, esp the door. Maybe you can put some LED's in there.
When I test drove the Supra, the interior felt very faux leather and very soft. Sit in a car with real leather and you can feel and smell it the moment you open the door.
Wow, that's a bummer. Just from the picture alone, it looks like low a quality and thin grain. It looks like Toyota and BMW went budget on the Supra to reduce costs. Now things like are starting to emerge.
IMO, I don't think Porsche is feeling any pressure from Toyota about the 2021 Supra even with the HP increase. Porsche is so far ahead of Toyota that it's not even a comparison. The 6 cyl Supra was compared against the 718 4 cyl turbo. With Toyota being so secretive about a potential GT4...
My bad, I sort of jumped the gun before realizing the EAG 6 speed swap. Yeah, they made it work but since a manual wasn't available, they had to fab some pieces up and make some tweaks here and there. They did a drive it after SEMA and all seemed fine and dandy but they didn't really touch...
Basically? They did. If Toyota had any plans for a manual, they would have done it as late as pre-production. Production is already done and unless they do a complete re-design then I'll believe it. Other then that, it's not going to happen.
The center console wall on the driver's side is...

Bump Steer
Steering precision and stability are both affected by bump steer. Bump steer is steering input independent of what the driver is doing with the steering wheel created by the suspension moving...
I wouldn't be surprised if it's limited with the stock suspension. I wish it was double wishbone like the MKIV but it is what it is. I think aftermarket front and rear suspension would be the best remedy.
MACPHERSON STRUT CONS
MacPherson struts are tall, effectively raising the center of...
Agreed against a 992, it’s a completely different price point. However, in pre VW 911’s, the 997’s are a good comparison from both power and price point in the 40-60K range.
997.1 C2S- 355hp/295lb-ft @ 3155lbs
997.2 C2S- 385hp/310lb-ft @ 3208lbs
2020 Supra-335hp/365lb-ft @ 3397lbs
@ 13:50...
Yeah, I’m aware of those. Unfortunately, the cabin feel, ergos, suspension damping, handling etc will definitely take some time to get used to. I can’t justify 50K~ for now though. I wasn’t completely wow’d by the test drive.
It’s actually a good way to break in a motor.
Maybe, I should rephrase it, I drove it like how it’s supposed to be driven... just like they are driven on the reviews. I didn’t do any sideshow donuts, burnouts, jumping a center median if that’s what you’re envisioning.
With my 911, I’ve let my...
