Never visit California.
The California Prop 65 signs on every store and product will give you a mental break down.
And yes, you are over thinking. If you wanted to, you could just get some epoxy and seal the broken edges of your lip and call it a day. Make sure to wear 5 N95 masks on top of...
You need to be stock for anything before the catalytic converter such as intake, downpipe, charge pipe, manifold, etc. You will fail the visual inspection and they will not test you. The tech is supposed to be diligent with this as the BAR often sends undercover agents to audit Smog shops.

Yeah now a days they do, if you're not on the stock OEM flash that matches the CVN, CID on record with the BAR then you'll still pass the test but you may get a re-test notice at a state ref later on.
It's been happening to a lot of Evo and STI owners.

Can you try 3D printing the base trim of the shifter boot for MT?
If you want to use a new shift boot and knob, you have to remove the plastic trim piece at the bottom. It would be cool to have one to buy to keep the OEM boot and knob together.
There are no sensors on the mirror. BSM uses the sensors on the side of the bumper primarily for blind spots. The front and rear ones mainly for front and rear detection.
BSM sensors wouldn’t disable all sensors.
Was the battery disconnected when the sensors were disconnected? If not this...
You low balled the dealer, what did you expect?
I get not wanting to pay over MSRP, but you coming in with that low offer set the tone for this transaction.
I'm gonna side with the dealer and salesman on this one, only because you seem like one of those customer horror stories lol.
TBH, the first post has everything you need. The rest is just exchanging data logs and asking for advice.
@ColonelAdama did a great job consolidating everything to the first post.
