  1. Production Toyota Supra will be revealed in the first half of 2019 at Detroit!

well, two sources from the US said the 4 cyl car would be delayed until the end of next year (this was about 1-2 months ago), but that the 6cyl should not be impacted and would be delivered some time in the summer. I haven't heard anything concrete on the US production reveal. There was some...
  2. The A70TTR Dedication Thread!

Nothing real exciting, but today I was able to speak with one of the Lexus engineers that was around my old team, and he said they're still saying target weight is ~1400kg. And a quote from one of Moto's posts: "The underpinning subframes are similar, but the main body structure is a completely...
  3. Production Toyota Supra will be revealed in the first half of 2019 at Detroit!

interesting, so it's not just the 4cyl that's scheduled for delivery in October...
  4. "⁣Supra goes Madrid" - Toyota Europe invites to drive the new A90

M2 is a slightly older platform that just missed the cutoff. All BMWs right after that are 5x112, and the Supra/Z4 should follow suit
  5. The A70TTR Dedication Thread!

Yeah, I definitely don't have new information on it, at least yet. I've put it on a list of things to ask when I see Tada or one of his juniors.

Many times it is done like this: TRD also used the same method on the Griffon 86 and the limited production car that followed. The reason I mentioned the a-pillar was that if they could manage to make the entire roof CF, all pillars included, that would be far more drastic an improvement than...

rhetorical scenarios must be new in your neck of the woods :)
  8. The A70TTR Dedication Thread!

IMO, equal power or maybe slightly less due to the Supra being lighter. my understanding is that bmw is content with the Z4 and feels it's a great car and is not really concerned with the Supra so long as the cars are fairly comparable. the Z4 is a convertible and as such has far more...
  9. The A70TTR Dedication Thread!

I was never shown the engine/engine bay when on the project, so all I know is from the pictures that have been posted by other thus far. I feel the same as you, but ultimately it looks like the MKV has a boring plastic cover unless they decide to spice things up a bit (add some styling). Either...
  10. 3rd gen G29 BMW Z4 (2019-202X)

    someone gets it :)

Also, beginning of the video: "340ps"
  12. 3rd gen G29 BMW Z4 (2019-202X)

They drive on the left in Germany and other places over there lol
  13. 3rd gen G29 BMW Z4 (2019-202X)

It did an unofficial 7:40 when I was still there and they said it still had some left in it lol. That was a long time ago though. Later on, I think after I left, Moto-san said it kept up with a 991 Carrera S last he heard, which is around a 7:38 iirc. No clue where it sits now...
  14. The A70TTR Dedication Thread!

Car was 2950 and had right around 350hp iirc when it did 3.8s, unless I'm misremembering, but I think that was early on. Doing rough p/w calculations puts it in the same ballpark if we assume power bump at ~3100lbs Even being conservative, it should be pretty quick.

  16. The A70TTR Dedication Thread!

Well, the production car is a different animal, so we will have to wait and see. Remember though that apparently the Z4 does 4.4 0-60 and that's the underpowered EU spec.
  17. The A70TTR Dedication Thread!

Used to do 0-60 in ~3.8s in mule form. Hopefully it still does that.

    Mwahaha
  19. The Magazine Scan Thread

I won't comment on the power aspect, but that is for sure one thing Tada is obsessed with. He has this serious thing for direct shifters and can't stand anything less. I made a comment about the 86 being notchy and he was like ?!?! Lol
