There are many band-aid fixes people could be trying. Add roughness/randomness to the A-pillar surface, try adding trip strips/dots, try a fence/groove, etc. Basically, interrupt the smooth rounded shape that allows flow to roll off in a sheet.
Off the top of my head, some fixes to try would...
It really looks great. Even glossy that color does a good job showing lines, but in matte it really pops. And that is opposite of what most people would think.
Beautiful work!
BTW, I may come across as a jerk, but this is one reason I dislike YouTube sometimes. People will take the time to get dramatic and post a video when instead simply reading the owner's manual and/or understanding their car would be quicker. I realize some of the BMW behaviors and some of the...
Don't know about the first issue (my initial reaction is don't rev your car in park like a goober) but in the second issue, the car didn't stall out, it activated auto start/stop (you can see he was in normal mode). Then when he switched to sport mode (which disables auto start/stop) the engine...
You'd have to carry it in the hatch out in the open. Get a tire tote bag and strap it down. Probably not an issue for most folks since we don't often use these cars for cargo.
Be sure to check clearance to the front struts if going any wider than stock up front (and/or varying offset). There is only about a finger's worth of clearance on many BMWs and I'd expect the Supra to be about the same. Worth checking before pulling the trigger.
You might want to see if one of the interior light sensors is blocked or shaded somehow. BMW uses them to control brightness of the displays (this is separate from the user setting). Some people that install dark tint have problems with this, as the sensors never see proper daytime brightness...
Only some older BMW models do. My 2018 F32 and 2017 F36 did. My 2019 G01 and most new BMW models since ~ mid 2019 do not remember the setting. It can be overridden with coding of course.
Someone told me that the change was based on government regulations but I never looked into that to...
I think it's great if Tada and team are listening and I hope we can feed them valuable information. Ages ago, I brought up a mirror gusset noise issue to an acquaintance at Subaru of America and offered to help (my day job is in aerodynamics and aeroacoustics) and I contacted them through my...
Surprised me too, in several ways. I would have expected the M2C to have more slip getting off the line but I think the driver was being less aggressive since it stayed planted and also fell behind. Don't know what the Supra driver was doing but he was clearly fighting the limits of traction...
Use the button above the sport button to turn off auto start/stop in comfort mode. You'll have to do this at the beginning of every trip as it doesn't get remembered, but it will disable it for the duration of your trip.
Red leather on driver's side only is normal and they way they designed...
Wow, that is lame if he can't tell the difference between an 86 and Supra. Must not be a real car guy. The 86 has been around so long that it would be hard *not* to recognize one instantly if you have any remote knowledge of cars.
Sometimes it gets tedious driving a sports car because...
I think any dealer can activate the nav, but I continue to be baffled why this is so complicated for Toyota. I don't think they gave dealers adequate prep for the Supra or had the infrastructure in place yet. It was not a smooth launch. The fact that you are cross country doesn't even matter...
There are three main variants of the B58 and a total of six versions if you split hairs. Google "bmw b58 family" and lots of information will turn up. One common theme to all of them is that the power rating is way underrated. I have a "355HP" B58B30M0 in my X3 M40i which dynos around 440HP...
