And it's fun at all speeds, whether you are driving hard or not. With the ZF8, it's only cool (to me) when you really get on it. I think it's the best automatic I have experienced on any car, but still an automatic.
I didn't get a chance to try this in the Supra, but on other ZF8 BMWs I have...
As I mentioned in another thread last night, there is a turbulence gray 3.0 premium at Pearson Toyota in Newport News VA. In the showroom they are asking $10K above MSRP. But on AutoTrader, they advertise the car for $3800 below MSRP...
With fleetmon, you can sign up for a free account and get some info the free sites don't show. You can also purchase sat tracking for 14 days for $16, which might be worth it if you are really curious to follow your ship's progress across the Atlantic to the US (without satellite tracking...
What a bunch of dumbasses. It's an odometer statement, part of the official title history, so you'd think they would be sure of the number. Wonder what complicated BMW technology will confuse them next....
You are right on that, the M2C is just 25# lighter than the M4 according to BMW. I don't know why the M4 feels so much heavier than that though, maybe it's just the size.
I don't know if they inherited this from BMW, but the power steering feel in my X3 M40i and M2 is still to light for my taste in comfort and sport modes. I have to program the steering for sport+ on my two BMWs to get the feel I like. It's all artificial of course, since they are just dialing...
So I took a look at the gray 3.0 Premium at Pearson in Newport News VA this afternoon. Interestingly, the Toyota window sticker says "Ice Gray" which is either a goofup or some kind of typo since I am pretty sure it's Turbulence Gray as we all know it. The port prints out those stickers so...
I have driven my father in law's Boxster (older model year, don't remember) and 2019 Cayman, but I was being super careful and not really pushing the cars. Never have tried a 911. I thought the Cayman was a delight to drive, but I'd choose a Supra for myself (all else equal). For the money...
I agree with what you are saying and I may not have explained myself well. I was thinking more about front end stiffness and rigidity, which was one thing that really jumped out at me when comparing the M2C to the Supra.
The M2C is a vanishing breed within BMW -- small, fun, tossable cars. Current and future M3/M4 cars have gotten big and heavy, and lost a lot of the magic, and the other M cars are bloated even worse (some say M stands for marketing when describing them). A lot of people feel like the M2 has...
I've pretty much gotten into the mode where I admit it's a dumb idea and pure financial stupidity to buy a new sports car every so often. Not trying to rationalize it helps (within limits -- still have to pay for my kid's college). If you really fall in love with the Supra as it is now, I'd...
HUD might be tough for an ordinary person to capture well on video, but it is 100% the same as BMW's HUD layout/graphics/features, so you might want to look at some examples from BMW. Same goes for the CarPlay integration, which is one of the best in the business right now. You can run CarPlay...
I may wander over to Pearson when I am in NN tomorrow and take a look -- I am curious to see that color in person and I feel like I should do my duty and scoff at their price markup.
Interesting you chose those words -- I felt like the Supra had a higher limit than the 86, but the Supra felt a little softer and less communicative going up towards its limit. My 86 was definitely sharper up to the limit and maybe more predictable. I feel like someone could quickly get in...
I haven't seen anyone put up a long review yet, so here are my thoughts. This is a first impressions review, which means I don't have long term experience with the Supra. And I don't own a Supra, so I don't have that perspective. However, I always feel like first impressions are some of the...
Make sure you get one with a battery pack, so that it doesn't draw power from the car when it's shut off. People have had a lot of problems on BMWs with cameras that pull from the car battery continuously -- the ECU senses the parasitic draw when the engine is off. Several of the camera...
