How about a resonator delete? I've done that on many cars in the past, kept the mufflers and it often is a nice improvement over stock versus a muffler delete. I'd like to hear how that sounds too, before dropping 3-4k on an aftermarket exhaust.
Mine is on the way too! Such a gorgeous carbon fiber intake... can't wait. Will be posting a thread on here for ARMASPEED'S latest CAI on the B48. We are collaborating on this (can't disclose details yet) and I'm hoping to get on-board and sponsored with them in the near future.
Spun first and 2nd using launch control, but I was able to get a 12.7 for the 1/4 mile. With cooler temps and a better start, I expect mid to low 12s ?
Anyone have tips for getting off the line faster?
With a better launch, I'll be in the upper 3 second range for 0-60mph, confirmed with Dragy. I'm on a conservative E30 Protune by Jesse DaBears on the JB4. Ran a buddy this weekend that has a strong Ford RS (tuned and full exhaust). It is making over 400hp and I got him from a dig and from a...
Oh no worries man. A low mileage M4 would be really awesome too. I've looked at those several times! I came to the same conclusion though and could never pull the trigger. The Supra on the other than I couldn't wait and haven't looked back since ;b Epic looks, superb handling and fantastic...
For anyone who has a locked ECU, be sure and speak with Jesse Dabears ( @mkv_zupr4 or @DaBears ). He did such a phenomenal job on a custom 93 tune via the JB4, that I went ahead and ordered the Fuel-it Ethanol Kit and got started immediately on a E30 Map. The timing is perfect and the...
Love my 2.0 and E30 tune from Jesse DaBears! A couple tenths away from upper 3s for 0-60mph.
Just need to work on my launch, LOL. It's wonderfully balanced through the corners as well, handles beautifully.
4.1 seconds on the latest test today. Don't sleep on a Pro tuned B48! They are...
Agree with the majority here in just enjoying what you have and it would be a LONG time before this model is an investment. Doesn't take away from how epic the MKV is though in all aspects!
And some seem to hate on the 2.0, but it's a super small percentage of production (like 15% I believe)...
Just finished tuning with @DaBears as well on the JB4. First off it's an extremely solid piggyback system. I also ran it on my Type-R and Golf R with zero issues.
Jesse and I worked on a 93 tune and E30 tune. Night and day difference! And the timing and engine are much happier now, pulls...
Nice! I'm targeting 22 psi as the max boost on the JB4 on Map 5 and it made a tremendous difference from stock too. The B48 is quite the tunable 2 liter and alongside the 8-speed by ZF and its lower curb weight, it's far more capable than most know with a good tune and some mods ;b
New to...
Absolutely. Just assessing the acceleration from the butt dyno and having had several modded and boosted 4 cylinders in the past (Civic Si, WRX, Evo X, Golf R and Type-R), I can tell you that's a conservative estimate and with that the WTQ numbers are well over the 300 mark without a doubt.
