I’ve had this one pop up a few times. My battery was replaced at delivery and I always make sure to have it on a proper charger if it sits for more than a few days. It’s not improper power down…I always power down properly.
I suspect it may be related to the wiper twitch problem I (and others)...
I have a 2016 Ram 2500 Diesel that doesn't even know there's a trailer with a car on it behind it. It's our tow rig for all things and does a perfect job. Love that truck.
It's definitely a calibration issue. When it happened to mine, I "adjusted" the hight to max, and it barely came back into view. My guess is that it calibrates on startup (the HUD does not come on until the car is started) and something gets wonk and causes it to calibrate center line...
Yeah that one threw me when I first got the car. Thought the brightness was jacked. This was definitely a position calibration thing. Cleared itself on the next startup like everyone else after letting the car sit.
This just happened to me today. I thought the HUD had disappeared, but it had adjusted itself so low, I couldn't see it. Setting it to max height put it barely in view. I'm hoping like most others here, it will magically fix itself. Has anyone had to actually get this fixed?
Mine still does it. I can replicate it easily. Mentioned it to the dealer last time the car was in. they ignored it. Really annoys me but the thought of dealing with Toyota on it annoys me more. It's definitely software. Every time it does it, the car does not remember my last climate...
Yeah I checked mine, too and nothing but a little mineral build-up from letting water pool there after washing (I'm lazy and don't always blow it out). Something in your water maybe?
So despite advertising it being painted carbon fiber (even listing that on the window sticker), they are actually delivering an ABS piece and valuing it at what, $1200???? Wow, I'd be pissed
Yes, it's from the shop manual. I'm by no means an expert. There are those who seem way more qualified saying that charging the battery directly (rather than at the jump posts) can cause problems or issues with the systems that monitor the battery. There are some posts on it throughout the...
You maybe should NOT be hooking up a charger directly to the battery. It can cause lots of problems. You should be using the jump points under the hood.
