Ran the supercar 3 on my GT4 for 2 summers instead of the stock Cup 2. I have nothing but good things to say about the tire.
For sure slower that the Bridgestone, but more consistent and lasts longer. A solid bet for your use case IMO
As long as they don't fade I don't really care... My first impression of the club racers is they are very capricious, never had so many issues with a track pad...
Went for a track day yesterday, hard braking, smoking pads and blue rotors, still vibrations... Not as bad as my first track day but...
If you want to hear any intake/exhaust sound in that car, you need to drive windows down...
The car sound outside is quite good, but the cabin is so insulated, you hear nothing.
I'll be at the track Friday for a full day as well, please report back and I'll do the same.
If I can't get on top of the issue quickly, I might try the Endless ME20 next year.
bought from speedindustry. They had great inventory.
My recommendation, message them before you order, they might be willing to cut you a deal without much efforts.
I messaged them about the 57DR to check availibility and they knocked $200 off without much effort. They also knocked $100 off my...
for sure not trying to be an ass as well haha, but racing line is always fun to debate. Even at my local track after 10+ years I still try new things every year after discussing with other drivers!
But you are right, what I refer to as a "V" line is often closer to a "D" line.
you can still get variation of the same lines based on the caracteristics of the car (front or rear limited, type of power delivery, etc).
In my GR86 I rather use more of a "U" line to carry as much speed into the corner as possible since the car is power limited. In the Supra I rather use a...
power figures are not really important, more about power gains.
Apparently seeing a gain of 80 to 100whp on a stage 2 tune with supporting mods is realistic.
Of course and that is a reason why I bought the Supra and sold the GT4, with a lower running cost and lower entry point, I can afford more seat time :)
That being said, we all have 10+ years of experience. I'm far from a pro driver, but in the amateur category, I'd like to think I'm somewhat...
I'll see with my GT4 friends next summer, but I think with a proper set of coilovers, good alignment, wider 200TW tires with wider wheels, brake pads and fluid I should be on par with them.
Ajustable sway bars will be on the list as well eventually.
