Haha can't beat that single turbo noise. This car sounds a lot like an MKIV with an HKS Carbon Ti on it lol. Tada-San said he used the MKIV as the benchmark when he was doing the exhaust tuning, which was the last thing he finished.
Yeah the car is really freaking good guys. Like, really freaking good.
Sorry for the lateness on my video, ran into some production troubles, but it's well worth the wait!
Finished my review finally. Haven't slept more than maybe two hours in the last 3 days lmao. It'll be up at 5:01pm CST exactly, so stay tuned. I'll post on the Albon IG and YouTube as soon as it drops so stay tuned!
He said "No Hybrid for Supra". His reasoning was that battery tech just isn't there for him to get the car as light as he wants at the price he wants. When the tech moves forward, then he'll consider it.
I'll let you know on Sunday.
Okay, so here's some clarification about the July 22nd date. That is the "official day cars will be in dealerships". So people who ordered a Launch Edition should be able to pick up their car on July 22nd, assuming their dealer plays ball and doesn't try to hold...
That's like being mad about a chef changing the amount of pepper and salt in a dish from 1.5 tsp to 1 tsp, while having added 14 other new spices that you chose to ignore. If it tastes good, it tastes good.
I did not, but I'll have my man on the ground ask tonight.
Also, you guys are talking about the RC and LC chassis', but guys, I don't think you realize how much of a step forward this chassis is compared to those cars. It's in an entirely different league, and that's just by the numbers. This...
Tada-San said that all the OE improvements will be backward-compatible on the earlier cars. So, just buy the part at the Toyota dealer and stick it on.
Still the same "maybe" answer. I will say though, Tada-San said that they were indeed testing a manual but it was not up-to-spec durability...
That's fair, completely understandable honestly.
Tada San has been at Toyota for over 30 years. He has been chief engineer for roughly 5-6 projects I believe, most of which were Japan-only vans and I think the xB or something similar to that. Then of course, the 86 and Supra. He was an...
It is less space than an 86 but not cramped at all. I'm just about 6'0", reasonably broad shouldered, and I fit fine in the car. Getting in and out requires a little bit of attention to not hit your head on the roof, but it's not as bad as any monocoque car. I was wearing a helmet and getting in...
This isn't answering your question, but a 400PS version of the B58 is already in late stages of development, thats direct from Tada San. Transmission wise, Idk, that's totally up in the air.
The thing with the 86 was that the FA20 just ended up being too close to its limits out the box. It was...
Yeah, nobody can put in orders yet. That dealer just wants your money now, so they want to sell you their Launch Edition allocation, rather than waiting for orders to open up and potentially not getting your money for months. I'd tell them to get lost.
