  1. BMW insider: "385 hp Supra model is coming"

Agreed, all this tune would do is essentially give the car a little more grunt above ~5500rpm, thus bringing up the horsepower. I believe the car currently makes 365 lbft from 1600rpm to roughly 5000rpm, totally flat torque curve (aka artificially limited)
  2. 2020 Supra (A90) Reviews Compilation!

Yeah that's 100% BS. Doug was invited and flown out like EVERY SINGLE PERSON THERE. Nobody was "paid". This is how these manufacturer events work, and how they've always worked, for every manufacturer. Doug's review showed that he clearly wasn't paying attention and clearly didn't give enough...
  3. BMW insider: "385 hp Supra model is coming"

The base car has Alcantara seats, and yes they're way better than the leather! Also, I'm gonna get to the bottom of this guys. Give me a little time.
  4. Info on the ZF 8HP Tranny..

It's slower in the Normal mode vs Sport, which is by design. Manual mode just prevented the car from going back into auto.
  5. Info on the ZF 8HP Tranny..

I didn't notice any delay dropping multiple gears in the Supra. It will prevent you from shifting down if you'll over-rev the engine, but I'm pretty sure that's standard with all automatics of any kind.
  6. MKIV vs MKV Supra Video Review - Is the A90 a Worthy Successor to the A80?

The white is lovely, one of the better colors for sure. I think it complements the car really well. With the launch edition wheels, the White really pops, just need to get rid of those damned red mirrors lol.
  7. MKIV vs MKV Supra Video Review - Is the A90 a Worthy Successor to the A80?

Seating position is good, nice and low down. The seat is also very good. Adjustable bolstering and overall very comfortable. I wrote a bit about steering in the previous comments so I'll repost that here.
  8. BMW insider: "385 hp Supra model is coming"

Yeah the car is definitely faster feeling than 335hp, but I mostly attributed that to the 365lbft at 1600rpm, since that's what really makes the car "feel" fast. It does rev to 7000 tho, so idk... We'll get one on a dyno and see.
  9. MKIV vs MKV Supra Video Review - Is the A90 a Worthy Successor to the A80?

It sounded fine, but I would have wanted to mess with EQ a little. Vocals seemed a little muddy and overall it was a little flat. There's 500 watts and like 12 speakers though, so it's got to be decent. JBL was even on site at the race track answering questions. Sadly I was too busy beating a...
  10. MKIV vs MKV Supra Video Review - Is the A90 a Worthy Successor to the A80?

Oh yeah, we didn't talk about Supra Connect at all. They may have mentioned it in the briefing but only quickly. Yeah the subs are 10s. I couldn't find an EQ menu though, so it didn't sound too hot out the box. Got solid rattle from the subs at about 75% volume playing Hip Hop by Dead Prez...
  11. How the Supra Chief Designer Shaped Toyota’s New Sports Car

Has nobody photoshopped the current production car without vents?
  12. BMW insider: "385 hp Supra model is coming"

The M2 took 3 years for the Competition to release and the M3 was nearly 2 years iirc. Does this insider gentleman think it's gonna replace the current model like how the M2C did or be an optional package like the M3s "Competition Package"?
  13. BMW insider: "385 hp Supra model is coming"

The motor very well may be the same as the Z4 but that still doesn't justify Toyota having a mid cycle refresh literally months after the car is released. Nobody does that, not even BMW. Also, don't get me wrong, I would love for the 382hp version to be in the Supra. But again, it just seems...
  14. BMW insider: "385 hp Supra model is coming"

I don't believe that for a second. That's just bad business, and Toyota doesn't do bad business lol.
  15. BMW insider: "385 hp Supra model is coming"

I asked Tada-San about the head in a slightly different context, basically, "Why did you guys go with an integrated manifold?" He said that it was for emissions purposes, but he doesn't believe that the integrated manifold makes enough of an emissions difference to matter in the long run, and...
  16. BMW insider: "385 hp Supra model is coming"

I don't think it makes any sense to release a more powerful version 1-2 years after the car's release, and I never got any indication of that being the case talking to Tada-San or Toyota USA. They're gonna play this smart to maximize sales. So they'll release a more powerful version when sales...
  17. BMW insider: "385 hp Supra model is coming"

Oh, no clue. I'd guess maybe 3-4 years for a mid-cycle refresh, but that's complete speculation on my part.
  18. BMW insider: "385 hp Supra model is coming"

Yeah, Tada-San said all upgrades will be backward-compatible with older cars
  19. BMW insider: "385 hp Supra model is coming"

Tada-San wouldn't tell us that he's got a higher output version in development if it wasn't coming. And as far as I know, no this isn't the GRMN. I haven't heard anything about the GRMN in fact.
